Nothing wrong with how we set up imo, basically only two chances for Jesus which were proper chances, one of which was running away from him and the other was forced onto his left foot. We weren't decisive enough when we had a chance to counter, but perhaps to be expected when our biggest goal threat is injured.
Disagreed with taking off Davies & Iwobi, and Pickford not keeping out the third killed the game off but we were organised defensively and limited them to shots out the box.
We showed more aggression and more organisation than previous showings at Goodsion, it still wasn't enough but it was an improvement.
They are just a lot better than us at pretty much every aspect of the game. Got to hope that DCL and Allan can have a big influence in the cup.

Its a bad spell both with results and performances. We arent as good as I want us to be and thats frustrating.
The players are letting him down very badly and he needs to be allowed to have a massive overhaul. They are in danger of allowing another season to unravel and the manager needs backed.

The problem is conceding goals is not a good metric for keeper performance. Olsen gave up 4 against Spurs but was miles better on that night than Pickford was tonight. Olsen had no real chance on either Fulham goal at the weekend.
Honestly all things considered our defense was fine tonight. The Mahrez goal wasn't great but that's a belter and it happens. The deflection happens. A shot pretty much down the center from outside the box should not.

Why is anyone arsed about our home record this season ffs?! I've been attending home matches since 1994 and prior to covid I could count on one hand the total number of fixtures I'd missed in all that time, so believe me I understand the importance of them in normal circumstances. Right now though, with no fans in attendance? There's absolutely no significance to home games at all!

Both fairly average as far as I see. We are conceding too many with both and both have big flaws.
I was 2 months old when we last won something, and I watch a hell of a lot of good teams play football. I do actually know that teams should have more than one way of attacking.
I know it's a process, but it's been 14 months. And i still can't tell you what our plan C is as a path to goal. It was there early in the season, but has been missing since October, and I'm not someone who thinks we've played awfully in that run either, we've had good games.
I say plan C, because our plan B is set-plays. Yet, we have won four corners across our last five league matches, and conceded about 35 in that same run. So we're not even getting up the pitch enough to win regular corners.
We have conceded corners in the first two minutes of each one of our last five games too.
