What option did he have on the bench??
Davies and Doucoure were spent in the second half, who on that bench was going to come on and do a similar job as effectivly?
Hammy Rodz for Iwobi is a no brainier but without the ball both were useless.

He had 9 players on the bench mate.

I'd say taking a winger off to put your right back in his place is piss poor

I'd say taking your centre mid off to then put a free floating knobhead in Gylfi as your defensive centre mid is nothing short of disgraceful.

If you think those subs are okay mate thats absolutely fine, all about opinions and in my opinion for the 2nd game running he's had an absolute shocker

Stats wise there is an argument for Olsen having better kicking but putting that aside we're playing a team that gets more shots than anyone else so that's still a large indictment of Carlo for thinking the kicking was more valuable than keeping the ball out of the net.

Because the majority of his passes are short. He can't fizz it to anyone, which is why Pickford played today - Carlo wanted a player to be able to beat their press, which we did a few times. Digne and Iwobi got it a lot on the wings, but City gobbled up the second balls.

Olsen has conceded 12 goals in 4 games so I don't really see the argument. They're both as poor/good as each other.

The Gylfi thing is daft but Carlo's got it in his head he can play there, for some reason.

The argument is that this is a bad argument because, for example, Maja scored two goals from inside the 6 yard box with no one defending him at the weekend and the GK can't do anything about that.

Surely you're making that up Toff???

I'm not. Sadly.

Maybe they meant to say one of the best prospects, and i'd give them that, he's got a lot of talent. It was after the stormer he'd had against Leeds.

Evertonians, though.

I thought he did well tonight, and going forward it has to be him and another (I'd say Mina, but looks like he'll be out for a while), so probably Keane.
