City had unlimited spending for those 3 years tho and only Chelsea could match them, now a days teams like West Ham spend 40m on Strikers. They finished 4th and won the FA Cup in the second season Mansour was there and won the league in season 3.

I always ask the kids I train: Who travels the fastest, the ball or you? If they say: I'm the fastest. Then I say ok, let's see. Then they quickly learn that speed in football is not about being Usain Bolt, but speed of thought. They have a better GK, RB and arguably CB. Their CM is better than ours plus they have pace in abundance in attack, something we sorely lack. Overall they've got a better, more balanced team.
I think one more window of 3-4 new faces for the starting XI and we'll then be in a better position to challenge.

There's even bum kissing articles on the internet which demonstrate this point: https://talksport.com/football/5514...iverpool-everton-alisson-van-dijk-mane-salah/
To be fair I think the numbers would show that we still spent more.Oh I know, they were on another planet, I’m just sick of people comparing our development to that of Man City as if we’re gonna take the same path.

City spent 32m on Robinho and it made everybody go WOW.
We spent 45m on Iceland and everybody went LOL.
It is unrealistic to compare ourselves with Manchester City. We do not have the financial muscle. Although there was one who argued that money was not an issue at Everton, and we ended up with Joshua King.Oh I know, they were on another planet, I’m just sick of people comparing our development to that of Man City as if we’re gonna take the same path.
Our good friend Brands had better be on top of his game in the next two summer Windows...talking minimum 2 out of 3 / 3 out of 4 success rate or we'll be forever doing the deadwood removal polka.I dont know either, tbh. I'm happy with Ancelotti on the whole, but I doubt he'll do much better than where he's taken us thus far.
Bottom line: I think we're boring and predictable. I'm not enthused by our football. We get the odd big result but so what?
I completely agree. Our good friend Brands had better be on top of his game in the next two summer Windows...talking minimum 2 out of 3 / 3 out of 4 success rate or we'll be forever doing the deadwood removal polka.
As somebody said about the football quality - atm, we're just a very expensively assembled Burnley or some such to watch
We just missed the boat,we got the billionaire owner when they were yesterday's news.Oh I know, they were on another planet, I’m just sick of people comparing our development to that of Man City as if we’re gonna take the same path.
If I was neutral I'd actively avoid watching Everton, as I have with Arteta's Arsenal or WolvesI completely agree.
Who can say they really enjoy watching this Everton team? Not many I'd venture.
Just last year to be fair when they finished 5th.
We've finished above them every season bar the time they won the league.
Huge misconception about them
Weird to lump him in with the other two.
Since Rodgers came in they've been very consistent.
I don't really like the bloke, but he's an excellent manager and Leicester are a well-run club.
They've spent two weeks outside of the top 4 since the start of last season - one of them was at the very end of last season.
