Trumpian levels of devotion on display tonight, together with the usual name-calling and outraged derision for dissenters.

Yes we have a limited squad beset by injuries, but could and should be doing better. I have no particular love for Moyes, especially in light of his disrespect after the move to Man U, but does he really have a better squad at his disposal or is he trying harder? It will be interesting to see where we all end up

This season is probably a write-off, and I think Carlo sees it that way. If he can coax better results out of the run-in I will be happy enough, but I don't think it is part of a masterplan. I expect he is looking longer term. I have a few years on him and can identify with his appreciation of the reduced pressure at Everton, but I fervently hope he is serious about improving the team going forward.
I like the calling everyone Trump in the first word of the first sentence that's about name calling. Nioooce.

I thought you might like it, but I'm not calling anyone Trump, just emphasising the unquestioning belief of Carlo's supporters.

Has there actually been a reason to not believe in the guy? I mean, we're two months away from season end and still have decent chances for top4 finish. When's the last time you watched premier league and could say that about Everton?

Moyes has done a good job, but as we saw at Goodison there's nothing between us and West Ham.

The mad thing is when we were playing great football earlier in the season we absolutely anhiliated Moyes’ team in the league cup.

It’s no coincidence that our great football earlier in the season came to an abrupt end after the derby at home. Losing Richy for 3 games, Coleman doing his hamstring, James picking up a knock and not fully recovering then going on to miss a few more games to injury, losing Digne to suspension after Saints, then going on to get injured in training and missing nearly two months, Allan doing his hamstring coming back and then missing 3 months almost, Richy missing more games due to his ankle injury, DCL missing 3/4 games, using Godfrey and Holgate as full backs for 2 months still on going currently

Yet the football manager experts think it’s straight forward and simple.

They haven’t got a clue or have zero perspective.

We haven’t had a settled side since September.

Yes that's true but other than Villa who've been incredibly lucky, most teams have had lots of injuries this year, and you have to factor that in. James was always going to be in and out, he's made of glass. We did go downhill after the Derby, and we've not played as well since but most clubs who were playing out those high scoring games haven't. The players are all knackered, and unfortunately the big clubs with the big squads are now coming to the fore. Leicester, us and West Ham are clinging on though.

your argument is fine, but is nothing compared to "wE sHouLd jUsT pLaY beTtEr mAtE"

Concerned at the clear lack of coaching of this team when we are in possession, was slightly worried when he came that some of these players really do need coaching a lot when they have the ball unfortunately don’t think there’s a lot of positives on that front.

That would be my only criticism of his reign thus far but am sure things will be get better once we have an actual RB moving off the ball and another CM who actually enjoys having the ball.

It’s okay mate we should bring Moyes back or Bielsa. They’d have us playing tantalising football with Andre Gomes and Sigurdsson in the middle pressing teams into submission for 90 minutes non stop with Alex Iwobi and his lightning pace and Ronaldo-esque abilities creating mayhem for the oppositions full backs.

Imagine what Moyes could do with the Yorkshire Cafu Holgate at right back? The football would just be magestic.

He’ll have done great to get us into Europe considering the injuries we are now sustaining. His main buys were James Allan and Docuoure yet how often have we seen all three fit and on the pitch together? Not enough, add in long lay offs for Digne Holgate Coleman and Mina into the mix. Richarlison has probably missed too many games too. For a squad like ours that’s a lot to take. We said at the start of the season we had to stay injury free but as usual we’ve been one of the most affected. Chelsea were at full strength last night, so are City at the moment, United only have Pogba missing. No surprise that the three best deepest squads will probably end up top 3.

True but when you lose the core of your team and you’re then relying on the same crocks that have underperformed for two previous seasonsunder different managers, the same crocks that took us to the heights of 12th place last season, is it not coincidence that form and performances have dropped drastically?
