Know a guy who, reluctantly, started attending swingers parties. His wife used the "if you love me, you'd do it for me" line.

Anyway, she apparently laps this stuff up and sampled a lot of fruit. But over time seems to take a shine to one fella in particular.

You can guess where this is going can't you? That's right, favourite swinging buddy becomes regular bit on side buddy. Then moves in, banishing my friend to the sofa until he found a new place.

Imagine that. Listening to your missus being smashed nightly and explaining to your kids why you are on the sofa and ma is making goat noises. Again.

When asked why he put up with it, he said he didn't want to make it weird or upset the kids.

I didn`t realise that you were friends with @Ashtonian aka @Kenshin, as you`ve just described the relationship between him, his missus and his dad.

Indeed. He told me all this at the point he was sleeping on the sofa and needed a shoulder to cry on. Needless to say I extended full sympathies for a horrible situation for him and his kids. He wasn't even sure himself how he let it get that far, bit of denial on his part he admitted.

I must admit I was, simultaneously, thinking "oh my freaking god man, HOW, HOW????". People, huh?

Fortunately for him he's moved on and is in a happier place.

Slowly dawned on me that he was building up to telling me that he was cheating on his wife with one of my colleagues.

Luckily there were no kids involved, but I knew both women he was seeing and it was like he had binned off steak to eat mince. He moved in with the new girl, divorced his wife. Then found out the new girl was cheating on him with her ex.

Always enjoyed going for a beer with him though, it was front row stuff.

As the old saying goes a man could be married to the most beautiful woman in the world but eventually he'll get bored of banging her.

one thing that has probably done that is we both acknowledge that is completely normal and natural to find someone else attractive outside of your relationship.

Exactly this. Both of us exactly the same, now fully honest and open and lasted 6 years so far, barely any arguments. It’s far easier when people accept other people are attractive.

As a very sexual person who lives by the mantra of you only live once I never dreamed I would be married with a kid so im glad it just happened as had I thought/planned too much into it I probably would have gotten cold feet.

Would never cheat being married with a kid and mortgage too much to lose and wouldn't break a family home up for anything be it mine or anyone elses.
