A kazoo looks just like a hash pipe so the chaps in the Gwladys (you know the ones) are going to be loving this
Everton aren't we?

As long as it's paying more than SportPesa I am not arsed one bit.
From what I heard it's gone to 10mil over SportPesa's 9.6. Not the biggest increase but we haven't exactly done much in the SportPesa years to raise our profile and with the state of the finances the world over that's an alright result.
Brands with big followings can promote clubs on their platform and invite them to international tournaments, etc. This is daft.
You don't win trophies and become a big club by signing up to a company with loads of twitter followers. You become big by winning things.
Followers on social media for the CLUB is important (ish). How many followers the sponsor has got makes zero difference whatsoever. Nobody buys Yokohama tyres and decides to support Chelsea because of it.
The kit thing is miles off too. Have explained that loads already though.
But that’s not the point being made.Everton fans will wear Everton shirts. Nobody else will. The market does not change.

Much better than competing in competitions like the SportsPesa Cup with some nomarks. I think you’re taking a very naive view.
No way, it was founded by the bloke who founded zoopla? I had no idea, none of the other 78 posts in this thread that mentioned it had sunk in. I’m not sure what difference that actually makes to be honest, clearly if you run a business that can afford to sponsor a team £10m a year you’re a pretty good Businessman, regardless of whatever else you’ve done.SportPesa was for 9.6mil a year and looks as though it will be pulled under by COVID, according to reports. They were also awful in how they constantly tried “ripping” the club via their poorly run Social Media. Not dismissing the fact they’re a betting company.
Cazoo is 10mil a year and we’re founded by the same fella who founded and sold Zoopla, for 2.2bil. It’s definitely progress.

I’m perfectly happy with the deal, I was just commenting on the idea that it was some massive leap forward. It isn’t. That’s totally understandable like, I just don’t see the point in pretending it’s something it’s not. People did the same with Hummel, just coming up with some dead weird reasons why it was a really good thing. It’s just the best deal we can get, simple as that really.
Also, the fact none of the press releases mention it being an increase, which means we can be pretty certain it isn’t. They’d 100% lead with ‘record deal’ if it was one, but they all say ‘similar deal’.
I work in marketing!
Similar to the kit deal, this sponsership pays the wages of scherderlein and siguardsson for a year. As welcome as these sponsership’s are, we really need to cut our wage bill to free up space for new signings.
Wasn’t really talking about kits, more a brand. Near enough anyone over the age of 10 would happily walk around in Nike, Adidas, Puma, Under Armour, etc. I don’t think we can say the same about Hummel.
Hummel and Cazoo. They’re the type of sponsors you’d expect Championship clubs to have.
