So you're happy with the odd wonder goal? I'm still waiting to see that 'quality' by the way.

He has quality. But he isn't a player who can run a game.

We need that.

Rooney can do it, but we can't rely on a 32-year-old and against the better teams it shows.

N'Zonzi has the presence and passing range to do it, but isn't a deep-lying playmaker as such either.

Get Gylfi into the final third and he'll do damage.

He isn't someone who can run the play from deep. Never has been, but there seems to be this sense that's what he should be doing simply because of his price tag.

I dunno mate

If you agree to a fee it's scummy business to then change your mind and then ask for more at that stage IMO

If they wanted more they should have been up front about it, rather than lie
Agreed. If we've met their asking price and then at the 11th hour they ask for 2-3 million more we have every right to say no. It's one of those rare occasions where actually i don't think we are to blame for messing up or draggin out a transfer.

But again - rotation.

For all Sam's faults, he isn't the dinosaur he's made out to be. He takes a very analytical approach to games and obviously felt that Martina was in a better physical shape to play than Kenny, and why shove Kenny at left-back where he's never played?

Martina is poor but relatively speaking has done well. However, he does require help.

You can get mad at having Sam here all you want but it won't change a thing mate. He hasn't made many bad decisions since he's come in and we're better now than when he took over. He needs to step it up over the next few weeks as we can't function going forward at the minute - but we haven't been able to do that all season.

We all also need to accept that we are miles off the top six in terms of quality. It's sad how crap we are compared to them. Barkley and Lukaku have masked a lot of issues with this team over the past two years.

Why isn't he a dinosaur mate, because he uses stats? is there a manager out there that doesn't these days? has he changed his methods over 20+ years - to my eyes no he hasn't that in effect does make him a dinosaur when those methods are shown to be limited in scope of what you can achieve using them.

Kenny has played at left back this season mate, Martin could indeed be in better physical shape, would expect him to be given he barely breaks out of a jog most games, and as for relatively speaking he's done well, how can you have a player who provides nothing going forward at fullback and who constantly requires help and cover as doing well mate? What sense of relativity are we applying to deem that a success?

Issue isn't being off the top 6 in quality mate, it's more about not even giving them a game, when other teams do who are inferior in quality to us.

1903Haber is a very good source and there is mentioned that BJK wants 25M €(!) and nothing less. I think the comments from both sides with "28M, 30M, they want 2M more" are wrong. In my opinion 25M is a good and deserved price for Cenk. Before Everton or other teams made their bid, the president (Fikret Orman) said that he would allow a transfer only when the conditions will be attractive for the club. I guess we will have an answer today or tomorrow.

Dunno what everyone was expecting with him. he isn't and has never been what you'd call truly creative from open play. He is great at set pieces and scores a reasonable number of goals. He isn't going to open up a defence with a moment of brilliance or dribble past two or three players to create space any time soon. He is what he is - a very hard-working player who has great dead ball delivery and will get 8-10 goals per season

£45m doesn't get you much this day and age then.
