Which is why Khal, ultimately, at the moment we may need a manager who can - in theory - guarantee that we don't slip under and into turmoil.

The plans for the stadium are massive. I've been told little bits and bats, nothing major, but there are certainly people on here who know more. And I know from some freelance marketing work that I do that there's definitely a tender period under way for certain aspects of planning and construction of a major development in the north west...

But key to all that is staying stable in the Prem, ultimately.

If I am honest with you Toff, I am having doubts as to whether or not Sam is the man to stabilise us.

I thought he was doing all right, albeit we caught some lucky breaks during his initial four games, but Baggies and Bournemouth have brought me back to earth with a bang.

Add to that I have zero faith in Walsh as our player recruiter and even kess faith in Moshiri's manager hunting skills after Koeman and the close shave we had with the Watford bloke and I think this is a particularly worrying time for EFC :(

In fairness none of us know what resources are or will be available to us or what our overall business plan is (if we have one of course ), except in the vaguest terms. Without that knowledge and add the fact we as fans cannot influence the clubs expenditure for good or ill , it seems pointless to agonise too much over it.
Transforming a club that has been a solid mid table club (at best) for two generations was always going to take massive amounts of expenditure and our only other option would appear to be continued decline and stagnation.

We'd be playing champagne togger if Silva was here now K, trust me ;)

He's lost the will to live now after Watford rejected our advances and who could blame him, denied a once in a lifetime opportunity and was denied and has to look at Deeneys face every single morning as a reminder of where he is. Grim.

Remember when we signed Andy Johnson from Palace. I think us and Villa agreed a fee we wouldn't increase and let the player decide. Maybe a phone call to West Ham to do the same is the way forward.

It was us and the mighty Wigan mate. Dave Whelan even picked him up in his private helicopter to try and away him and even though it was close due to Wigans amazing history, trophy haul and stadium, his gut told him to choose Everton.

Think it's a case of four games in 9 days stretching the squad too far, tbh.

There's still doubts. But before this period we were defending and attacking well - with a stable side.

When we've had large scale rotation, we've seen issues.

Get back to a relatively settled set-up, I think we'll see things recover.

In fairness to him, Sam hasn't used that as an excuse. Yesterday he said he saw silly mistakes from the side, and that was what he hadn't seen in the main previously.
