So we could have a left back in the squad for Friday, think Martina has held his own but you would think him knowing he was having an extended run at left back he would have tried to learn to use his left peg a bit.
To be fair Martina can barely use his right foot, watching him play on the left is like watching somebody whos just crapped their pants trying to run the toilet.
Cant see us getting a LB in any time soon, theres not even any proper rumours of any names at all.

It's just funny watching him hit it straight out of play the way he is facing near the corner flag with is right foot, it always makes me wonder what coaches do through the week, Tony H was a perfect example, 20 years at the club and couldn't use his left peg or cross a ball.To be fair Martina can barely use his right foot, watching him play on the left is like watching somebody whos just crapped their pants trying to run the toilet.

Youtube and video highlights the scourge of Everton fc transfer policyBut he (martina) looked really good in the highlights video, especially with that throw in.

That was some throw in though to be fair. lollol
It really is painful. How we got to the stage of having to play our third choice right back over an extended period as first choice left back... that's an absolute outrage! To be fair Martina can barely use his right foot, watching him play on the left is like watching somebody whos just crapped their pants trying to run the toilet.

I agree regarding DCL. Ive been saying we should use him as a wide targetman to my mates for a while now. I think playing DCL on the right with Niasse in the middle would be a better setup for us, and Im thinking Tosun is a bit better than Niasse. Im a little surprised we havent tried it. DCL played a little on the flanks last season(and wasnt good enough), but he’s done a lot with his game since then, and I think playing him wide could give us another dimension while attacking.
Edit:
I also think his heading is terrible. He gets on the ball, then heads it in a random direction.
Well, ideally someone who has proven themselves to be better than making a living in the Turkish league where even Niasse has shone.
What I mean is, is that right now I think we'd have trouble convincing anyone from a decent league and team that we're a step up for them. We only seem to be able to offer money and this struggle to identify a striker has shown this to everyone. We're now in an even worse position than the summer as we have no European togger to offer or even really the potential of it next season.
Whether it be Jimenez from Portugal or Tosun from Turkey, neither of them are coming from top leagues or even have the best scoring records in those leagues but yet that's the level of player market we are shopping in.
I don't know anyone I would want at the moment who we could bring in and it seems to be the same way for those in charge of the recruitment.
We're so far away from where we were with Lukaku in the team and those dreams of "taking the next step", we're scrambling to get back to where we were as best of the rest and any striker we sign now wouldn't look out of place at Swansea, Stoke, or West Ham. That's what I find disheartening.
As for hearing about people turning Allardyce down surely you know better than most that if a player's interest doesn't even get off the ground then we're probably unlikely to ever find out about.
