Some of the shouts in here are horrendous.

His second start in the shirt and both times the play in and around him has been absolutely shocking for the most part. We surely can't expect strikers to come in and just be able to do it all on their own??

Can’t judge him on two games, particularly when we continue to play Allardyce’s brand of anti football.

Thought his movement was poor today though and he struggled against the WBA centre halves.

Hopefully he’ll come good as he settles in to the squad, although we may need to wait for a new manager next season before we see the best of him. Allardyce’s tactics are stinking the gaff our atm.

Marco Van Basten would struggle to look good in that team. Hoofed balls from the centre half over his head, then when he did win it the nearest team mate was about 20 yards away.

*Tip to Sam, if you play hoofball you need a runner alongside your big man.

There was a 10 minute spell in the first half after West Brom had gone ahead were he didn't even touch the ball once, simply because we were incapable of getting it anywhere near him.

Was sat there wondering why we even bother buying strikers in the first place..

He actually played ok today.. headed a few good balls on but the problem is no one ran ahead of him .... or siggs just messed it up when he got the knocks downs.

Impossible to judge him on his first two performances other than he appears to have a strong work ethic which can only bode well for the lad.

I've no idea if he is good or not. I suspect given the league he has played in, the style of football he thrived in and his age that he will struggle to adapt to this Everton side.

Then again I think prime Batistuta would struggle in this side.

Hence why I would have signed a left back and at least 1 passing midfielder rather than a striker and a winger. Then again there must be a reason Sam/Walsh rake in a combined £7m....mustn't there be?

To be fair I don't think they were booing him more like booing the decision to sub him. At least that's what I thought anyway.

The booing was surely for the sub itself and not the player, our fans in the ground can't be that silly..
