I’d actually start Niasse against Arsenal too. Palace at home might be the game for Tosun.

I am definitely not a Niasse hater, but I'm quite sure that if Tosun had played yesterday then our victory would have been more convincing.
However, I am too happy about the result to complain too much about squad selection.
Niasse's presence might unsettle defenders (?) whatever that means, however I'm a traditionalist and I kinda like seeing 6 yard open goals being converted by strikers.
Just makes things easier.
I got told today that the coaching staff feel he has been lazy in training hence why he was dropped last night. I’m not sure how true this is but apparently ‘it came via someone at finch farm’.
3-5-2 with Tosun and Niasse up front should be tried now that Seamus is back and Mangala can be one of the CBs
3rd post mentioning this in various threads. Have to say, in the 2 games he has played, didnt strike me as lazy.
Time will tell, but the drums said Sam had wanted him at Palace, or somewhere anyrate, ergo, not a Walsh "diamond" (sic)
Sorry to say, the game has evolved and strikers are expected to close down defenders and make opportunities from their mistakes. In any case, it's not often Niasse misses chances. Niasse has a track record of scoring when it really matters.
The refusal to play him should eventually lead to the sacking of big Sam.
I wouldn't call it a refusal to play him just yet James, he's been dropped for a game, I'm sure he'll get back in the side soon.
I was talking hypothetically. If there is anything to some of the rumors about him being a signing of Walsh's.
Niasse's general contribution to the game yesterday was very, very poor I thought.
cenk is a player who can score out of nowhere. you dont know his true potential yet.
