Nonsense. All 3 subs were injury related. Fancy seeing him at full back, centre half or midfield?

I'm just totally bewildered that he isn't seeing ANY game time.

it doent look good does it. sign him, and bench him within a couple games. weve seen this before with sandro and klassen.

theres no smoke without fire and sam has already written him off.

Problem is there was talk he was poor in training, but we are hardly encouraging him to work harder, we have bought him over, we need to suppport him, i dont mean the fans, but the manager, its pathetic.

I said at the time we signed him that giving him a 4.5 year deal on HUGE wages was a massive mistake, esp with what we have just done with sandro and klassen.

if he does turn out to be a dud, then we will have to take a huge loss on him or face paying 4.5 years of wages for nothing in return.

klassen is on 100k a week, and not played since September. so we have £250,000 a week just sat on the bench, with sandro it would be £370,000 a week, thank god he got a move!

this club can not afford mistakes like these

If he's that bad then he shouldn't be playing ahead of Niasse, who is not the answer, but at least works hard and scores goals.

Shocking, when you read that first thing that comes to mind is director of football

it really is proper piss poor decisions / management

make no mistake, Cenk Tosun had been scouted for months and we made an early move for him in the jan window.

we were in dire need of a striker to come in and hit the ground running, which is why our DOF/manager upped the bid in order to get him.

the contract is totally out of sink, for an unproven player. it should of been a 3 year deal maximum.

we are going to get burnt with a couple of our summer dealings, yet we still haven't learnt a single thing.

I understand that every signing is a slight gamble, but some are much bigger gambles than others, Turkish league and on par in stats, or just below actually, with arouna kone should of indicated this players worth.

Besiktas must of been laughing at us with the offer. their game is NOT overflowing with cash and here we are offering a shed full of cash on a player we know nothing about.

so January , Walcott apart, was another shambolic disaster, no left back and striker who may need a whole year to 'get up to pace' if he ever does, is complete negligence from the people in charge of getting players in

the DOF needs addressing, as does our whole scouting network.

There is no doubt Cenk is a far better player than Niasse but the prince is playing well and is a complete team player and utter nuisance. It must be hard to drop someone who is showing the kind of pride and passion we are all demanding from our 1st team. Cenk will get his turn and his presence in the squad seems to have brought an extra effort from other squad members.

Is this the manager that turned round Benteke, rekindled Defoe’s career to get an England call up and found and developed Kevin Davies. He is also the manager that Walcott has said was a fundamental reason for him signing. Nope, doubt he knows as much about strikers as most on here. Oh, wasn’t he also the manager who really gave Niasse a second chance? The manager deserves some grief but seriously, some of the points on here are plain daft.

I don't know if I would agree with what you say, I am not sure he can take the credit for Benteke, Defoe and Kevin Davies, what else is Walcott going to say, I moved to Everton despite the manager being crap.
But supposing you are right with Benteke, Defoe and Davies, that is 3 forwards over the course of a long managerial career, hardly prolific.

He's utter turd mate, he might run amok in your league but he's been found out as an average footballer at the top level.

I can tell it hurts you to admit it so you fire off an angry rant at me, it's fine, I'm happy to be here as your sounding board you scruffy flare throwing scoundrel.
and this judgement is based on what?

Sam said about him: “Everything we looked at from the club’s point of view – and I am not just talking about me and Steve Walsh – I am talking about the whole scouting system and the board, and the algorithm company we use, everything about it said, ‘yes’ Tosun will succeed in England."

Think it's pretty clear we need a new manager, DOF, scouting team and algorithm company. Oh, and a striker.

Something is seriously wrong with our club...

How did you work that out mate :)

£27 million and he is good enough to hold down a place on the bench.
Now that's what I call value.
The point is that he must have something to be on the bench. Both the manager and him have said it’ll take time. You’ll believe what you want so it doesn’t really matter.
