He ain’t Lukaku mate! I know that - if we could get a reliable centre fireworks into this team it’d make a huge difference and I’d happily replace Tosun if that player arrives - let’s see eh. If pushed on it I’d go all out Batshuayi but not sure w’d even be considered by him. Other lads probably have more viable options, just don’t know myself but we need more goals, that’s for sure.

Not having a top quality centre forward also affects our defence as opposition teams can camp more in our half whereas if we had say Lukaku still up front no way would teams risk letting the likes him, Walcott and Richarlison hit them on the counter.
We need to do what we done with Rom originally- try get a loan deal for a good young CF from your elite club and hope providing we have a good season / make Europe they sign permanently to continue their development.
In England you would only argue Batshuyai and Rashford are players who could possibly be available but im sure they are ones at other clubs across Europe.
Batshuyai I would love to see us go for.

For me Tosun being first choice striker is a big part of the problem. As a squad player who you could turn to when you have a team pinned back fair enough, but not leading the line throughout the course of the season.

You're absolutely right about teams pushing up against us with Tosun up front. He is only going to worry opposition teams in the 18 yard box so as long as he isn't around there he can have very little impact on the game.

Lukaku is a freak of nature, You don't get many young strikers like him at all.

Even in preseason he could have had a number of goals from being in the right place even with the paucity of chances we create. He is goalscorer. He’s never going to be Lukaku so stop expecting him to be. Doesn’t mean he won’t score plenty of goals this season if we give him the right service.

I agree and replacing him was always going to be very difficult, the problem is we simply have to get that centre forward in who is streets above every club we deem should be below us as thats when we go into games confident of putting teams to the sword.

Richarlison Tosun Walcott is a better attack than anything in the bottom 13. Other areas of the team are in far greater need of improvement than the striking positions.

Wait, are people actually comparing him to lukaku? The striker with probably the best strike rate in world football? The man who cost three times as much as cenk. Obviously we won't get CL with tosun leading the line but we have much more pressing needs hence why we're exploring them now.
A top top striker will probably be our number one priority next summer tbh and cenk would be a great rotation. I'd still go and get bas dost on a free now if we have time, lots of defences struggled against crouch's height, so he could be a very useful tool for little risk.

Will score at least 15 this season league+cup, sure of that. have to fix the defence first.
Signed a new contract at Sporting last week, wont be going anywhere and certainly not for free anyway.

I'm a bit surprised that not one prem team went for him. Why on earth would you sign a new contract after your own fans did that despite you scoring 40 or whatever goals he did?
