Not seen a lot of him to be honest. But from what I've seen he looks very OK, someone I think we would be looking to replace and put on the bench if we weren't in crisis in almost every other area of the pitch. Nothing to panic or complain about though
 
Give him a chance in the box and I’m confident he will find the net more often than not. Our problem is we havnt created anything for him since he’s been here.

Hopefully that will now change as I think we have decent three behind him.

I would like to see Walcott up front some times, maybe when we're playing against two yard dogs in defence, with lookman, siggy and richy behind them.

It's late, I can't be brothered typing our stupid long named players out.

Richarlison Tosun Walcott is a better attack than anything in the bottom 13. Other areas of the team are in far greater need of improvement than the striking positions.

Immobile plays for Lazio who aint much greater than us.
You could pick holes in any of those:

"Batshuyai is unproven"

"Jose wont loan out Rashford"

"Hulk is a mercenary"

etc etc. The point is that these players are out there and we should be doing all we can to get one in. I would love us to go for Carlos Bacca have always liked him. At 31 he could do a job for the next 2 seasons in which hopefully we get back into europe.


Walcott Bacca Richarlison

Would be an exciting front 3 on the counter.

What would we then do with our 25 mill pound striker? Sell him at a loss after half a season for a guy who may not be better?

I would keep him as a useful squad player.

As someone else mentioned his main strength seems to be popping up in the box which is something we would benefit with in terms of chucking him on off the bench when trying to grab a scrappy goal. Under how Silva plays however I just dont see him being effective in being our starting centre forward as he doesnt have the attributes to have the opposition on the back foot.

Someone who can hold the ball up / turn defenders and beat them with pace is what we should be looking for.

Personally I would sign a new centre forward, sell DCL and keep Tosun and Niasse as rotation / impact subs.

Yeah mate, should of signed that lot with less goals between than Cenk's total for 2017/18. Absolute melt.

Your buying potential with them, and that is the only way we could ever hope for a decent striker

Agree on this, we dont need to be looking at the attack, its only the defense we need to focus on now, Tosun was fine last season and he only got to only got to play under Sam, under a new manager he should be more then fine
 
We've got a few players who are top 4 calibre, Coleman, Pickford and then possibly Walcott, Digne and Richarlison at a push.

Then we have a load of players who are the quality of a championship team or relegation scrapper

Tosun us in the third group, way short of a top 4 quality player, but considerably better than a load of the fodder in this league, same goes for Gueye, Sigurdsson and a few others.

The key is not to replace that third group of players as they are basically at the level we are realistically at, but to get rid of the second calibre of players and replace them with ones with the potential to be top 4 calibre

Only after that do you start to replace those lads, it's basically what spurs, the rs and now arsenal are trying to do.

This is spot on. Cenk might not be Kane/Aguero/Lukaku level but at the moment we have bigger holes and selling him would be brainless
