2018/19 Cenk Tosun

Personally, I don’t think think he’s the CF we need. We have more pressing issues right now however.

Blokes absolutely garbage. I would take Austin, Arnautovic and Vardy above him and they are playing for supposedly lesser clubs than us its embarrassing.

Austin? As in Charlie Austin? The so called striker who's only scored 14 league goals in 2 and a half seasons at Southampton? Cenk has scored little under half that total in 6 months

He fits the mould of a traditional Everton no.9. Shame we have zero creativity and nobody who can whip a decent cross in on a regular basis.

Things can change quickly however...remember Jelavic. Hank’s heading technique is a little ‘50p’ish though.

You lot have lost so much perspective it's unreal.

Sure we could improve on Cenk if we want to be in Europe, sure we can improve on Sigurdsson if we want to play in Europe, we could also improve on darling Coleman if we want to play in Europe.

Right now we're 8th and players like that are the bloody least of our worries moving forwards.

For what it’s worth, from what I’ve seen he can finish - the goals at Stoke were put away without thinking, great finish against Huddersfield, brave at Burnley and hit a cross field pass with outside of his foot that put Walcott through that should have seen us 2 up before half time. That said, he ain’t a natural focal point who can be relied upon to hold it and bring others into play as the physical side of the game is something he’ll have to adapt to from what I’ve seen.

At Blackburn he missed headers he knows have to be put away, but to say he ain’t good enough from what any of us have seen is premature. The Jelavic comparisons seem fair on what we’ve seen in that he knows where the net is but will have to add other aspects to his game if he’s going to be successful. If you were to look again at Lukakus thread when he was here he wasn’t good enough for many posters, so not a massive surprise to see Tosun getting called.

Done better than we probably realise in feeding off the limited scraps we have provided. He will have to deliver on the goals front this season, but he ain’t the only one.

Tosun couldn't lace Lukaku's boots mate. If we are to be part of a "top 7" we simply have to sign a top quality centre forward.

I've always been of the opinion that you are only as good as your centre forward. As Liverpool have shown recently doesnt matter now garbage your other areas are if you have 1/2 genuine quality forwards you can win games and challenge for things.

What we need is a striker who can get 20 goals a season feeding off sideways passes and balls into the box that don't clear the first defender and teammates who have no idea how to play a forward pass. Get your finger out Cenk

Lukaku managed it fine...
