He seems a decent guy with a good, hard-working attitude. IMO an upgrade on Niasse and has more to offer than DCL L who is still so inexperienced. I am still hopeful for him having a good career with us but when you see the quality of Digne, Richarlison and Bernard in their respective positions you do tend to think blimey Cenk we need to see some more impact........

Well summed up.

Came back from a Turkish holiday and they all wanted to talk about Cenk Tosun. Some say we are not using him right but most said he gives his all but has no technical ability.

We all saw the transformation in the team against Leicester. Tosun just isn't capable of giving us that. I hope he can become the type of player for us who starts the odd game and gets plenty of goals from the bench but I don't see it.

Not sure we saw anything transformational against Leicster, at least not at the 9. Not saying we shouldn't continue to go with Richy at the 9, but Cenk helped break Fulham down a bit when he got in there a week or so before, so he's had some contributions.

Ideally, Cenk would be a nice option against certain teams, and we'd have some stud in front of him. Not sure Richy is that player at that position.

I'd 100% say that we saw a massive improvement playing with Richarlison as the 9. For one he got his goal, and could have had another had he been played through by Walcott. He showed he has the ability to hold the ball up as a striker and unlike Tosun has the pace and ability to take his man on. So far he's showed us that he has every attribute to succeed as a striker. He pulled Morgan out of position constantly and got him sent off about an hour in because he couldn't handle him which was absolutely massive in us getting the 3 points. As an attacking unit it was the best I've seen Everton play in a very long time and he was pivotal to it.

Cenk and Sigurdsson both want to be involved in creating chances which kind of makes it unnecessary to start both. Neither have the pace to get in behind which means having that extra speed in the lineup works wonders for them. I have a feeling both would do well without the other.

No way should we loan him out, sell yes if good offer but not loan
Said this at the time, it was utterly mental giving an unknown quantity a 4.5 year deal on 100k plus a week. Guess what if he's a dud we are stuck with him for the entire contract. Yes we can loan him but we still pay his wages, and he won't leave cos no club is going to offer anywhere near the wages we have.

Totally bonkers, such an undeserved length of contract.

Should be 2 years with options on it.
