Said this at the time, it was utterly mental giving an unknown quantity a 4.5 year deal on 100k plus a week. Guess what if he's a dud we are stuck with him for the entire contract. Yes we can loan him but we still pay his wages, and he won't leave cos no club is going to offer anywhere near the wages we have.

Totally bonkers, such an undeserved length of contract.

Should be 2 years with options on it.

This one was the last of the old regime.. Bar the Pennington new deal which is still baffling now.

Not sure we saw anything transformational against Leicster, at least not at the 9. Not saying we shouldn't continue to go with Richy at the 9, but Cenk helped break Fulham down a bit when he got in there a week or so before, so he's had some contributions.

Ideally, Cenk would be a nice option against certain teams, and we'd have some stud in front of him. Not sure Richy is that player at that position.

It was the best I'd seen Everton attack in years. Especially away from home. Tosun is just far too easy to mark out of the game, he doesn't have the attributes to worry teams in the Premier League. Maybe if we've got a team pinned back and are desperate for a goal he could be a good option but he needs to show he's clinical in those situations.

He just doesn’t fit Silva’s style and best to cash in on him now rather than after a full season of sitting on the bench.

If Werner was ever an option I would be looking at both Cenk and Lookman as bargaining chips to get that deal over the line.
