As long as any of the front 3 are scoring he's doing his job.

In this system the goals are meant to be shared between him, Richarlison, Walcott and Sigurdsson.

Some games won't be suitable for Richarlison to play up front, and in those instances Tosun will be a good folly.

If Tosun is our back up striker it shows how far we've come with the squad in a short space of time.

All depends on Silva, if we could make £15mil for him + the same for Niasse then we'd have £30mil. Add some fairy dust on top and we could go and sign a very good player.

Personally i think that Richarlison will play up front.

That's been the theory all season, but I would assume if it were as simple as that he would have been playing the last 3 games instead of being sat on the bench. Silva clearly hasn't been hugely impressed with him, he's now picked 2 different players ahead of him in recent weeks. It doesn't mean he thinks he's useless or will never pick him again, but it seems pretty obvious that he wasn't quite as pleased with him as people wanted to make out.

Surely nobody would be stupid enough to pay £15 million for Oumar Niasse.

I think he's definitely been out of form but don't know if that's enough to write him off completely.

Players like Ashley Williams, Funes Mori etc. you knew from looking at them that it wasn't a form issue; it was a 'completely out of my depth' issue - right now I don't get that feeling with Tosun. Don't get me wrong, he might be exactly that, but I'm not prepared to close the book on him yet.

Find that blog with a heat map that was used as proof that Silva loved him

Personally I'm not convinced by him. I've said before that I think he's a nice, neat and tidy, footballer, but I think he lacks too many things to be a real quality player. He's certainly good enough for the squad and to be a PL player, but I honestly struggle to see him scoring more than about 12 goals a season, and with his other weaknesses that just isn't good enough I don't think.

Ideally Richarlison plays on the left in a front 3. Still need someone in the middle IMO

I think he’s done well in terms of what he offers as a team player. The problem is that until Fulham he’d had chances he should have burried but never. People were understandably getting on his back so I think the manager did the right thing taking him out of the firing line.

We defo need better going forward but I don’t think Tosun is half as bad as some make out.
 
I think in most games he and Siggy aren’t a great fit. Cenk tends to play quick flicks which allow people to get in behind, but Sigurdsson isn’t that type of player. Both play better when surrounded by FIFA 19 pace whores.
 
I think thesedays you need to have one outstanding part of your game to be a top level centre forward.

They really need to have amazing movement and finishing. Tosun initially looked a top finisher but without the movement...then started moving into space but couldnt finish.

I think hes a good player but you really need 2 top class forwards in the squad. If Richarlison is staying at CF then we need one more which has to be funded through existing forwards Niasse and Tosun.

Lets see in Jan but unless he goes and knocks in 10 by xmas i think hes gone.
