I've now realised that his finishing isn't good enough and he's about as fast as a 2018 Romelu Lukaku. I liked him when he joined us, maybe more out of desperation, but I now see he's nowhere near what we need at this level. If we could get 10m for him, I'd snap any club's hand off. Whether or not he'll be interested in taking a substantial wage cut, that remains to be seen. I'm sure many Turkish clubs would fancy taking him back.

God damn it, reading his name again reignites painful memories. That photo of him in Milan, ffs. All expenses paid faux scouting missions abroad, spending other people's millions willy nilly and having the nerve to show his face in L4 while it was going tits up. Praise the Lord his reign was brought to a swift end. The damage is still felt and will remain for a while yet.

..as @davek says, the Walsh regime will take a lot of turning around. The signs are good that Brands/Silva can make it happen.

The most annoying thing is that 1 run a match he does to close someone down where his head is going everywhere to make it look like he's trying dead hard. Proper winds me up. Offers nothing, get him turfed.

How I feel as well. Some positives, but never thought he could really be great in this league. Just doesn't have the athleticism. Decent movement, decent finisher, okay in the dribble, works hard, okay in the air, but just not a great athlete and isn't exceptional at anything.

That's five things you've got him good at, can't really see any of them to be honest.

Moshiri went on the scouting mission and openly admitted he wanted him

He's already made several very costly mistakes with us.

Big Sam’s tactics were horrible but he can’t really be faulted in terms of signings. Tosun and Walcott aren’t perfect but they were the best we could get at the time and both of them improved us last season.
