He's not an awful player in my opinion just not suited to our current system. However when chasing games with 10-15 if we change system like any good manager is prepared to do i think he can contribute. Unfortunately that is not enough reason to keep ling long term as your substitute striker needs to be able to start games when 1st choice is unavailable or out of form.
How I feel as well. Some positives, but never thought he could really be great in this league. Just doesn't have the athleticism. Decent movement, decent finisher, okay in the dribble, works hard, okay in the air, but just not a great athlete and isn't exceptional at anything.

To be fair when we brought him last season we were a mess and he improved us. However it probably shows that all Allardyce was bothered about was himself and backs up the decision to punt him at the end of the season. Even then they should have been looking at a striker who could make us top 6. I know we have money now but £28 million for a striker that if he started all 38 games would only get 10-12 goals in my opinion is poor business. If you had all 3 players behind abke to get 16-20 from 38 games you would get away with it but our support players won't score that many so its to be s new striker. I would be prepared to wait until the summer if no one that meets the 20-25 goal a season criteria is available and I would rotate Tosun, DCL and Richarlison in the role depending on the opposition.

Made a big difference when he came on.

His physical presence really unsettled their defence and as a result they dropped much deeper.

People saying he doesn`t care need to give their heads a serious wobble, as he was everywhere when he came on.

Unlike Bambi Lewin, who made have not been on the pitch.

Haha wind up right?

Commentator during injury time said Tosun hadn't been able to make any impact at all. Watford dropped deeper because that's what average teams do when they're a goal up.

No mate, he was all over the pitch, chasing everything.

I think what the commentator meant was that from a " striking " point of view he didn`t have an impact, but he had an impact in being a nuisance

They dropped deeper because they were defending a lead and we had 4 up front.
