I do sympathise with Silva as he inherited a side with no great attacking players whatsoever. Tosun was our first choice striker with DCL and Niasse as back-up and yet we had horrendous issues to address in defence and midfield before we could even think about buying a striker.
What's most baffling about Tosun is the fact that he's never in the middle when crosses go in. There were a good 2 or 3 that went right into the ideal area, middle of the goal, from Baines and he was nowhere to be seen.
Has to go along with DCL, Davies, Schneiderlin and Kenny, for me.

Yep, in the back of my mind I'm thinking every time he gets a game, will he grab the chance to impress, but like you say, he's done here because he really is cack.
That's what incredibly frustrated me today more than anything. Silva should have been saying to him 'get yourself near the six-yard line' and we'll service you.
Yet, when the ball was actually played into the box where you'd expect a forward to be, he was all over the place.

I don't think he's 'terrible' per se, just doesn't suit the Silva system and isn't really good enough if we're actually looking to kick on at some point.
