I don't think he is anywhere near as bad as some make out.

He is screwed though as we don't play a system that suits him.

Too slow/lacking in anticipation to get chances, struggles to get involved in overall play and you can often be left thinking is he even on the pitch. It begs the question what system will suit him in the Premier League?

The system he played in over in Turkey which landed his move to us is actually the exact same 4 2 3 1 formation we play now.

They are both pretty terrible but I think DCL can run faster so no, TosunPasa is not better

He played the same system in Turkey yes, but obviously things work a lot different in the Premier League.

He needs to be sold for everyone's sake, but I do think if utilized properly he could be a half-decent striker.

I think if you built the team around him and he played every game he would get 10/15 goals a season in all competitions. His all round game isn´t good enough to justify that goal return. He could possibly be an asset for a bottom 5 team but there´s no guarantees there either because those sides usually need a physical presence up top to relieve the pressure.

Taller, faster, more athletic, and younger.

At the very least DCL offers more potential simply because of those things.

Perfectly suited to Sam's style of play in which the striker is pointless.

The best of a bad bunch imo.

Silva has tried several combinations in attack recently without Tosun in consideration at all, (I think Newcastle was the last game he started). He didn't look particularly threatening earlier on in the season in terms of goalscoring but we were playing a damn sight better than we are now so we might as well go back to basics and see if we can reset.

I think if Bernard can keep the RW position then Tosun could start getting more chances. It was unforgiveable that neither him nor DcL tucked that square ball away the other day but it was a lot closer to DcL than Tosun and Cenk is seriously lacking any kind of sharpness.

If we aren't going to sign a striker this window, I'd persist with Cenk for the time being.
