2018/19 Cenk Tosun

He carries the biggest goal threat so I am not sure why it's so funny?

Oh I get it, he was crap when he first got here right?

But cenk has a better goal to game ratio for Everton so that's a lie

Cenk has better hold up play so well get more goals for others in the team ( ie for richarlisons second )

And ye he was scrap.when he first signed and he's a to scrap now ( as in all round play) he'll get the odd goal from the bench which is where he should stay

Not a chance. Tosun is literally twice the striker Niasse is.

He was crap when he first got here and since then I still haven't seen him have the ball under control once.

Based off what exactly? I'm not even having a go at Tosun here as I like him and rate him.

It doesn't matter if he has the ball under control or not (and you are of course exaggerating to prove a point as people seemingly can't wait to do when Niasse is involved) he scores goals and makes things happen. You don't win games by counting how often you have the ball under control after all...

I didn't once have a go at Tosun though did I? I like him too. Its not a lie though is it? Depends if you want to worry about goals to game or goals to minute ratio? I'm not overly concerned about either, I just judge things purely by results.

His all round play isn't crap, but people still say it is because they have to be right. Like every player he has strengths and weaknesses. He did some really nice stuff when he came on against Wolves, set up some chances, played some nice balls but the focus seemed to be on one sloppy pass which is such an Everton thing these days. He is a decent, productive player, I happen to agree that his best position is coming off the bench but I am bloody sick of people saying that he is crap when the the evidence telling them he is not is slapping them hard and consistently in the face. He is productive, always has been, I don't get why some people still refuse to get behind him as he is a useful asset.

I would say we have to give all our three main strikers until January before we decide if they are good or not. The foootball we have played for the last few seasons was the total opposite of what eny striker would need in order to shine. With a more forward thinking manager and some quality supply lines, i would like all three to start with a clean slate!

Tony Hibbert, while I was fishing the River Test.
I was out in the middle of nowhere when Hibbert suddenly appeared
He apologised for staring at my flies for an inordinately long time, put his shirt back on then wandered off.

The first point I replied to was someone saying they'd keep ONLY niasse out of the 3 strikers we have. Now given that tosun is clearly a better striker I pointed out that. If you can't see why tosun is a better striker then I don't know quite what to say

J have also said niasse is a striker i wouldn't mind keeping around as long as he is on the bench as he does chip in with the odd goal. I will add though. Have we ever won a league game he has started?

Your being way to defensive... no side in the top 6 would ever have a player of his ability in the team. I get why he's liked he's come out of nowhere scored a few goals but facts are facts he isn't very good at football and a few taps ins doesn't change that

Pros:
- Excellent finisher
- Works hard
- Good link up play
- Varies his play as much as possible (i.e. coming short or spinning in behind)
- Really well-liked within the squad

Cons:
- Lack of pace (by Premier League standards)
- Didn't get into the box enough (on Saturday)
- Sloppy touches/passes
- Dropping too deep, too often

re niasse i disagree you know, im sure he scored more goals than Llorente, the two liverpool back up strikers, zlatan etc
hes massively effective, throw him in the mixer when you need a goal and something might happen

I swear he got an assist on Saturday, really nice lay off too. if he get a goal/assist every game will people still complain?

We played over 50mins with 10 players with him isolated - can forgive the two points in bold for that.

Good link up play and dropping "too deep" come intertwined in the modern game.

Which is it ? I think he is OK and people saying he wouldn't get in a top 6 side are missing the obvious that we are not a top 6 club, it will take a few windows to sort this mess out and he (and many others) will do for now. Fans want us to jump to top 6 in one season, not going to happen.
