I don't recall disagreeing with that. I'm just saying I agree with Papa Shango that people try to make out like he's worse than he is for some reason.

Take this post for example, you've decided to use a timescale to make his stats sound worse. It doesn't matter whether it's been spread over 6 weeks or 5 years, he can only impact games from the start if he starts them, so the only relevant stat is that he's started 12 games. You're also saying he can only have 'had an impact' if he scores and we win, despite your point supposedly being that just scoring isn't enough and he needs to contribute more. You're trying to move the goalposts because you want to show him up as being rubbish, it's weird.

Niasse isn't a classically good footballer, but he's effective. Tosun is a better 'footballer' but lacks some of the things which make Niasse as effective as he is. In an ideal world we'd have someone who combined the best bits of both of them (maybe DCL could develop into this) but for now we can try to utilise the 2 of them at the right times to get us where we want to be.

If we could find a system that meant we could play the two of them together, they`d cause havoc for defences.

* I know it`s never going to happen.

I understand that.

I was wondering what you were finding funny?

Because you said spurs would have niasse, over a good striker who's won a good few trophies, played for some massive teams

his first full season in the prem he bagged like 15 goals, he just never got a game at spurs, I had a look before he played played 16 league games and averaged 13 minutes a game, think he only started one game ( and scored )

I'd have llorente over niasse every single day of the week

I thought the post was about Tosun, not Niasse.

That's where the mix up is.

Everybody wants to have a world-class in their squad, they are game changers but some people should understand, mentioned names don't wanna be in the Everton squad. So, either Everton needs to change its scouting mind and start producing or finding young talents who can be developed into a world-class footballer or be supportive of what they have.

Niasse is a somehow productive striker but not a starter, face it.

were going around in circles.

who is the better striker?

Both are useful and have different traits.

Currently purely on what they have done in an Everton shirt? I would give a very slight edge to Niasse as I always feel like he is going to make something happen. Eventually I would like to think it would be Tosun. None of this makes Niasse "not very good at football" as you put it because he obviously is. The evidence of this is right in front of you.

Is it possible to be Overrated, yet Underrated at the same time?

Some fans reckon we have a Van Nistelrooy on our hands, the others reckon we have Brett Angell.

I reckon he'll do a job myself. Not an amazing one, but a steady one. Reminds me a little of Beattie in the sense that, if you give him time to think, he'll blow it, but if he hits in on instinct, it usually ends up in the net. But he's better than that Lard Ass.

oh wow

well no, because as many people point out one of Niasse best qualities ( if not only ) is finishing, so if he doesn't score in a game what does he offer?

even when he was at hull, didn't his best moments come from the bench? im sure his goal against the RS come from a sub

I don't dislike the feller at all, I just don't think he has the required ability to START games, his best moments in English footy has come from the bench, I don't think that's hard to see

which goes back to my original comments were I said Cenk was our best striker and if were going to keep one it certainly would be niasse ( as someone said )

Niasse actually has decent close control, he has to to get some of the chances he creates (of course you will say he is just lucky..) and he gets involved in a lot of play when he is on the pitch, his passing is way better than some give him credit for (though can be somewhat erratic its fair to say) and he makes intelligent runs.

You may not dislike him but you said he is not very good at football and are seemingly trying to downplay everything that he is good at. I don't think it will matter what he does in the eyes of some people as he will always be classed as rubbish no matter what he record is.

Worth noting he had a big impact when he started against Palace and then of course got banned for nowt...

Niasse and Tosun mate?
You're advocating the inclusion of Niasse whilst peddling the "Gylfi is cack" idea in the other thread?

Very bizarre for someone like you.

Whisper it quietly but I sense AGENDA

Based on what they have both done in an Everton shirt sure why not?

They have a similar ratio, they both have strengths, they both have weaknesses. Long term I would like to think Tosun is the better rounded player but based purely in appearances for Everton I feel like Niasse is more of a threat as I always get the feeling that he is going to make something happen.

I think both are useful players, is that so hard to believe?
