He's not going to get better opportunities than against the opposition we've faced since the start of the season. Every team we've played has been a candidate for relegation. He's suddenly not going to find his shooting boots and start scoring against the likes of Arsenal
He's obviously struggling at the minute, his misses v West Ham were terrible. I think a bit of time on the bench will do him good.

At 32 ,yes, unless you want to return to the glorious days of Walter Smith and the Over The Hill Gang. I'm sure Brands has lots of younger, fitter, talented strikers in his little note book.
But you stated it as fact Steve, whereas reality is if we were offered him we'd be morons not to take him. If they have lots of younger, fitter, talented strikers please elaborate on why we're watching a second rate footballer from Turkey aimlessly plod around up front.

Baffles me this thread. Absolutely baffles me.
I agree but hes shown he can score harder chances so Im confident in him to start notching. His centre forward play has been good allbeit while not hitting the net yet.
His all round play has been atrocious two games in a row and he's barely broken into a jog. A luxury player we can't afford, especially if he is going to miss utter sitters.
So how do you think he played in the previous games to Huddersfield and West Ham?
Average against Wolves. OK against Southampton. Average against Bournemouth. But at least he looked like he was interested in moving around. Would have got more movement out of Big Ben in the last two games.
