He will not get 10 I keep saying it
He needs a lot more than a goal i am afraid.Tosun had been leading the line really well, Richarlison and Walcott played off and were playing really well. Richarlison earning a Brazil call up.
Although Tosun hasnt scored I think West Ham aside hes played well. He needs a goal though, will do his confidemce the world of good.
I really despise the negativity on this forum and see myself as a positive poster. However, I’m going to be totally honest with this post, and if others feel I’m being contradictory here then so be it.
I like Cenk, and he does put a shift in. I reckon he also cares about playing for us, and he’s desperate to do well. However, he’s simply not good enough. He’s flat footed, lacks pace and just hasn’t got that natural strikers nose
Moreover, he’s too easily brushed aside. I hate to say it, but imagine him up against Van Dyk and Gomes? He’s never Going to do the business for us.
Richarlison is our only answer up front. The situation is crying out for him. It maybe makeshift, but there’s no way Tosun is the right man for us.

Preferably in Stanley Park. He's obviously struggling at the minute, his misses v West Ham were terrible. I think a bit of time on the bench will do him good.
But you stated it as fact Steve, whereas reality is if we were offered him we'd be morons not to take him. If they have lots of younger, fitter, talented strikers please elaborate on why we're watching a second rate footballer from Turkey aimlessly plod around up front.
So...despite many on here stating that Tosun has been playing well without scoring(so far) you're spin on things is that he has been 'aimlessly plodding round up front'. I'm sure we'll get another striker, possibly in the next window, but it won't be Cavani (and in your usual charming, friendly manner, you can vault me on that....just think of the boost to your self esteem if we DID sign Cavani.) And don't take words just on face value...English is a beautiful language and the suggestion that Brands and Silva have already said no is merely my interpretation of the way they operate. But I suppose that's a bit deep for a Master of The Pedantic like your good self. And why does 'from Turkey' matter ? There you go...an example of me being pedantic. Get the idea?
His all round play has been atrocious two games in a row and he's barely broken into a jog. A luxury player we can't afford, especially if he is going to miss utter sitters.
Grow up Steve.
God help Walcott, Richarlison,Siggy, DCL, Niasse and the rest if they ever miss a couple of sitters..
Another brilliant, incisive, thought provoking contribution to the debate by Mr. Bungle. It really is magical.
tosun must be loving itNo. God help us when our star centre forward has scored 1 goal in 13 games.
tosun must be loving it
silva- "start scoring or your going to be dropped"
Tosun- "oh yeah, dropped for who lad, dcl or niasse"
**Tosun walks away smirking
so basically its"People may wonder why I am putting Cenk in with the record he has had," said Silva.
"But what I see in training - and how hard he is working - convinces me. We know the crowd will get frustrated but I have spoken about it with the team and they have to expect it."
That's the worrying part, expect to be booed, the fans have a lot to answer for in undermining players confidence by offering little support to any player deemed not good enough or not trying hard enough."People may wonder why I am putting Cenk in with the record he has had," said Silva.
