the knock on DCL has been that he does everything but get the ball in the net... then he scored 5 in 5 games including a dagger of a finish against Brighton that should have been a cone from behind game winner...
I don’t get it. Yes,Tosun plays hard, busts his ass for the badge when so many don’t seem bothered, has a poachers eye, his recent performances have earned him more time... but all you have to do is look back in this thread and last years to see how he got slagged around here. Too slow, Turkish football sucks etc.

By the way, I don’t think striker is the problem so far this season. Counting Richarlison’s play as a striker only, and giving him credit for what was credited as an own goal for Brighton but was all Richy, Everton strikers have 7 goals and 3 assists in 14 games in all comps. If that was one guy we’d be giddy.

IF we play Tosun, then every time we have a player wide of the opposition penalty area and in a position to put in a cross, then they'll HAVE to do it. Many times our guys opt to dummy the cross and then cut back to half beat the full back. This is all very well if you've got a better option than a cross in mind, but usually they don't. If Tosun has a strength it's getting a half-yard on a defender and doing some foxintheboxness. First time crosses play to this strength, arsing about with the ball for no good reason does not.

Yeah, if he plays lone striker with Siggy as number 10 we are doomed so is he. People will slate him why he didn't score, well because that Iceland guy can't create anything bar rare majestic goals.
Mate 90% of the time his final ball is crap and he over hits simple passes too. That’s when he decides not to dribble straight onto a defender
