I, for one, welcome the centre midfield that will step up and play so improved this season that Davek crawls back into his hole.

And then tells everyone how he doesnt know what they are talking about, he always thought they would be first rate

Yep small time to hell some of our fans were over that.

Gomes and Gbamin will be decent together I think but we need Delph to stay fit as an option for when Gbamin is off form.

Schnerderlin is a liability and Davies isnt good enough.

Just because we were not burning effigies of him like cultists does not mean we were being small time, just realists. It was a good move for Gana to a team levels above where we are now and we got decent money.

Gbamin will come good, PL always takes some time to get used too, especially when you have had no pre-season and arguably are playing the most 'exposed' role in a brand new team and team mates. It will take a month or so but the lad will come good. 50 minutes he has had lads, bloody hell i'll give you boys that in a new job and expect you to be pulling up trees ahead of more established staff members.

I agree he needs time but always makes me laugh how people are so convinced that players who they hardly know anything about will come good.

We have loads of midfield options what we don't have is a genuine playmaker we need more from Gomes and Bernard, and maybe Iwobi if Sig isn't doing it. I think a flat 433 might actually give them more license we need to make and take more chances.

I think a big problem is that the player alongside Gomes is going to be very limited with the ball all season. It really does stifle our attacking play. As do plenty of other things to be fair.

Gbamin whilst caught in possession twice actually looked alright.
Linked up well in the final 3rd and once settled will be a benefit.

I honestly believe that Gylfi slots that chance in the 1st minute then we win comfortably.

Baningime cant get a squad number, so I dont suppose he's anywhere near an appearance.

You’d hope at least one would be surely? Or maybe the gulf between the u23s is that big

He impressed me most during pre season and franked that form today getting two although let’s not be too hasty it was only league one. However great start

As a student, I sent my champ man CV in for a laugh. Even got a nice reply saying they were looking for a more experienced candidate.

The bit that really hurt was that they passed me over for Walter Smith.
