I'll link you now you fluffy assasin. (n)

Shall we quote our individual views while we're at it? :dodgy:

I think we can safely say you owe me an apology. :)

I think you owned him there mate.

Back on Bill, good on him for at least saying merry Christmas. I can't imagine sheikh whoeveritisnow coming out with it.

However, to me he just seems to be saying stuff to...well, placate people. Why should he say the billionaire thing. I know it isn't ever going to happen, but he just seems to want to say it.

I wasn't reading any more than a merry christmas tbh, tis why i said mak of it what you will

Defo owned me there. A couple of snidey threads trying to push negative opinion of Moyes:

And this message, where he's clearly backing Moyes.

I'll probably get some stick for this, but I'm starting to lose confidence in the ginger one.

I really can't understand his decision making and really starting to wonder if he has the slightest idea what he is doing at the moment.

It's taken him many seasons to finally realise that our right side of midfield is very weak, despite fans knowing it for years.

His substitution skills are dubious, and seem to be done at exactly the same time every week, which shows he really doesn't have an idea on how to pick the squad every week, or turn a match around. He just knows there are 20 odd minutes left and it's time to make a sub.
Why can't he realise the situation much earlier regarding substitutions?
It really is becoming a shambles in the way he is picking the side. For the past 2 seasons, we've had a bad start, and this season is looking a bit grim so far.
Is his job too safe?
Is he pulling too many strings at the club now and getting too laid back?

There's a little disclaimer at the bottom but, fine people of the jury, I present exhibit E.

Now, back to my original point - as others have noted too - where was the need to start trying to twist Bill's Christmas message?

Lets have a 'WW1 christmas truce' style football match Partisan Walton v's the GOT clique in no-mans land (between Jct 5 and 6 of the M57) any takers :P:P:P

I think it's a natural reaction for people to see Bill as the twisted evil mostache twiddling volcano island cave residing dr no-esque person, he clearly isn't.

Especially Everton fans, actually it's all fans who are clearly uninformed.

It's happening over at Liverpool and no doubt it will happen at other clubs who feel that their owners are not giving their full support financially, or by being loyal.

One thing we need to realise is that Bill Kenwright is a kid in a sweet shop, he is living his dream, and yes it's become a nightmare for him, but that doesn't mean he doesn't feel the same way as everyone else here.

People saying he doesn't want to sell, why would he not want to see Everton up there with the money men? Why? He's not stupid, he knows what's required.

It's just far more simple to think on the side of evil rather than rational thought.

tbh it seems like he's telling people what they want more than he should be. why would his christmas card read as a wish list, he's not a five year old waiting for santa. his message should have been realistic but still optimistic, he should have reassured the fans rather than trying to simply empathize.

and as for the billionaire thing, whether or not we find him, its BK for now, and i think this message is demonstrative of the fact that he struggles to really grab hold of the reins and steer the club forward. mentioning a billionaire in our christmas message won't help us find one, so i think its pointless to even mention. simply saying he wants a billionaire makes him seem like a stand-in, and whether or not thats how most evertonians view him, and indeed i'm sure thats how he views himself, i never want to see that from anyone in a leadership position.

of course, he'd get criticized no matter what he wrote so i can't be too hard on him, and at least it appeared sincere.

that's because it was sincere mate.

I'm not happy with him in charge, but I understand why he still is, and although he can say the wrong things at times, he does have a PR agent who tells him what to say and how to say it.

So maybe he has been steered by someone else.

Sure it's quite bizarre to say that he wants a billionairre, but it's not the first time he has said it, and it's also not really a christmas card, it's more of a message to fans that he is feeling our pain.

Nothing wrong with that in my book.

thats true, and personally i don't know enough about the everton boardroom to be happy or unhappy with him in charge, my only criticism is that i think as chairmen of the club, he should really try to be strong in our time of struggle. fair point about the PR agent though
