Fiorentina 1 - 0 Liverpool.

All La Viola so far. Liverpool got stung letting the onside runner go thinking an offside player was interfering with play.

Liverpool will once again be looking to captain Steven Gerrard and striker Fernando Torres for inspiration tonight, no doubt buoyed by their weekend destruction of Hull. Amazingly, in the 77 games they have played together for Liverpool, they have notched 86 goals between them - including 15 in 15 in the Champions League.

Outstanding stat.

From ronmanager on 606: "I've seen Lucas touch the ball maybe five times and he's given it away three out of those five. What is Benitez doing with this bloke on the pitch? Totally, totally average."

And 2-0, in your face you FSW.

Stevan Jovetic another FM player coming good. Amazing how they do it.

Looked very lively. Carragher's wearing his shorts back to front walking off at HT.

I can see Fiorentina adding to this lead. Liverpool look toothless. The FSW has got Gerrard out wide left by the looks of it. Well done Manuel. (y)

Liverpool go 3rd in their group. Lyon currently belting Debrecen. This group could come down to GD/head-to-head count back. I said when the draw was made they'd struggle in this group and I see no reason to change my mind. They are lost without Mascherano in Europe.

Maybe Liverpool should put Gerrards Lawyer in the back 4. At least then they could build a better defense.

Geez, watching the tape delay of Arsenal vs. Olympiacos and it's completely one way traffic with the Greek team's keeper making some great saves as well as having some help from the woodwork.
