As an Everton fan, I would LOVE it if they were punished, what I don't know how. But I just see the premier league/FA choosing money over morals, and money would mean the top 6 are back in the domestic league. Everything right now is just posturing for the best deal possible.

This is what I'm talking about. The top 6 have the upper hand in negotiations because they're the ones bringing in the money whether they stay or go.

These 6 clubs will be leveraging that the income or fanfare won’t be there without them. I hope the other clubs call their bluff.

Just listening to Talksport, and similar to my thinking. Kick them out (it's a must after what they've done) and bring in Celtic/Rangers? This way TV Revenue would still remain high hopefully, which is what all this is about, and the change over is minimal. All clubs in the PL would win as they'd be getting the world class players who are quitting...

Would that not make us bad as them? We should do a revamp of the league. Perhaps 16 teams and then have a US style regular season which will decide the European places and then a post season between the top 8

Do the math, though. Twelve teams at 25 players (approx.) means about 300 spots. Not every top-calibre player on the planet will be able to play in that league. Furthermore, if they're prohibited from international play by FIFA/UEFA, how many would actually want to? There'll be plenty of excellent players for clubs like ours to sign.
