This is about share of wallet. In an ever increasing wallet. They’ll make plenty more than they are now. They’ll revamp things so that they are playing games at a time when the Asian or US markets are in prime time. It’s only a matter of time before the teams become actual franchises.

Do the math, though. Twelve teams at 25 players (approx.) means about 300 spots. Not every top-calibre player on the planet will be able to play in that league. And COVID has probably made that cycle just a little easier to break given 1) haven’t been able to go for a while so out of the habit 2) sadly the virus has probably taken a few of the older fans.

Yep, I was saying myself a couple of days ago that the only reason i'd be getting a season ticket next season would be because i wouldn't want to miss the last days of goodison. Truth is i'd find it really easy to give it up now, with the cycle having been broken. I don't really enjoy watching us play and i've all but given up hope of us ever being particularly good. All this is just another nail in the coffin in that regard.

That is what the 14 have to try to do. Any player registered for the super-league is automatically ineligible for the Premier League. Now we are talking

Short version - 12 clubs: the Sky 6, Barca and the Madrid clubs, Juve and the Milan clubs. Financing by JP. The Germans, PSG and Porto told them to get stuffed. UEFA has come out guns blazing saying the players will be banned from internationals. Meeting of the jilted 14 tomorrow morning sans Sky 6. Suspicion is that they intend to take the lemons and try to burn the Sky 6's house down with them, though there are doubts about their resolve.
