Do the math, though. Twelve teams at 25 players (approx.) means about 300 spots. Not every top-calibre player on the planet will be able to play in that league. Furthermore, if they're prohibited from international play by FIFA/UEFA, how many would actually want to? There'll be plenty of excellent players for clubs like ours to sign.

Exactly.. and hopefully this will bring a reset on massive wages for average players.
It would be a massive financial kicking for a few years but long term it may give teams like ourselves an opportunity to get to the top again and make the league more competitive.

Every time these billionaires do something I strongly hate, like sack people in a pandemic, or refuse to give wage increases or whatever bloody awful inhumane thing they think of, their share prices go up. You would think I would just plonk my life savings on it at this stage. lol
