If people are concerned that these 6 will legally have a right to stay in the premier, then what is stopping the remaining 14 simply starting a new 1st division and not invite the 6. Let them stay in the premier they can play each other every week, till it becomes a pointless exercise everyone else can move on without them. Ok may have a few teething problems at first but within a year or two will be a vibrant and exciting league.

Nothing.

If the Premier League/FA and, most importantly, UEFA endorse said venture then that's the summit of the pyramid immediately.

That's why the vote tomorrow should actually be symbolic - if the clubs for some reason refuse it, or one or two go rogue, then the Premier League can be voided, a new league is set up, any club who voted against can go and beg the 'Big Six' for help and the rest of us move on with actual football.

Give them until the end of the week to withdraw the plan and if not tell them that are no longer eligible for existing competitions next season.I would promote the top four from the championship with no team going down also leave league 1 and 2 as is with no change.

Exactly, we have to show them they are the ring leaders. I will go mad if they end up getting more money by staying in the cl and premierleague.
 
It's very harsh, but the FA's and UEFA have to ban each of the players playing for these teams from the Euros/World Cup/representing their national teams.

It's not on the players but, right now, the players are the only ones who can make a stand.

Without the players, the clubs have no product. And if the players see their careers torn up in front of them, and then throw on top them getting kicked out of Europe and point deductions etc, the clubs will have no choice.

Kane, Mount, Sterling, Rashford (especially Rashford) etc. They'll know this is wrong. And no, they don't deserve to have their careers threatened, but ultimately that's on their employers who made this decision. And when it came to anything contractual, legally, if they went on strike, the PFA and FAs would be behind them.

And then if that works, if the clubs come back, you give them full whack. Point deductions, European bans of a season or two, transfer bans.
