Champions League revamp

Two basic ways to solve the problem:

1) Kick them out and declare PSG the winners.
2) Kick them out and replace them with the last non-participant they beat. That pulls Porto, Dortmund and Atalanta back into the UCL, and I can't be arsed enough about Europa to look.

Either resolution seems fair to me.
Granada and the Czech racists

if these were kicked out, then we'd get Hartlepool, Sutton United, Torquay, Stockport, Deadpool FC, Halifax Town, Chesterfield and/or Notts County in the league. All of them are morally superior to the big six.
This is something close to my heart. I got involved in the Fans United match at Plymouth a few years back as thankyou for their magnificent support in helping organise the original Fans United, when we (Brighton) were so close to going out of existence. Did the same for Blackpool in their fight against the odious Oyston family. The reason why we all fought so hard to reclaim our clubs is because it's more than just paying to watch 22 men have a kickabout. It's part of the local community, it plays a huge and important and necessary role in so many lives.

I don't care that my club is small, relatively obscure, had little success historically and for most of my life rattled around in the lower leagues. It's MY club. It's why I respect Toffee fans - the loyalty and passion, a packed stadium every match, every season despite your rivals being glory boys. I don't envy fans of the Big 6. The real ones have lost their club, the plastic ones are missing out on so much.

Just had a little browse at the RAWK thread on this topic.
A lot of them unhappy with the clubs actions.

Others, however are using it as an excuse to ramp up self aggrandising kopite behavior to the max.

Here are a few choice selections:

But If you mean the lower PL pro-voiding, blackmailing, jealous arseholes type of club then yes I agree with you - **** them! Too many of them including Everton have been living off the backs of our (and Utd's) worldwide popularity - the gravy train should come to an end for those clubs (Everton, Brighton, Palace etc).

There's one club in all of this which is uniquely vulnerable to a well judged response from its fanbase, as long as that response is carefully co-ordinated and strategically focussed. One club which this last season without fans has shown is almost uniquely dependent on the interplay and relationship between its support and the club itself. Which proudly trumpets 'Unity is Strength' on a banner in the stadium where the fans should be sitting, but has seemingly forgotten that the converse is also true. Disunity, discord, strife, these aren't going to drive commercial revenue. You can't put a marketing strategy together to entice new sponsorship when the ground is a no go area and every social network activity is showing angry and disillusioned fans.

There's an opportunity here if LFC fans can only grasp it and understand the commercial dynamics at play. Don't condemn overseas fans, reach out to them. Explain the situation, gain their support. Make the campaign inclusive, make it hurt across the international boundaries of distance and language. Make every LFC fan, wherever they're from a part of it and the commercial imperatives that have driven this folly will no longer hold sway.

They have apparently filed paperwork, resigned from the ECA and instructed bankers to put together the financing so this happening, and I'm happy to get behind it as long as the clubs solidarity is with the match going fanbase.

I agree that his comment was out of touch with the soccer fans and the working-class fanbase who are behind all these 12 clubs. But regarding Lalas, I'll assume you weren't a football fan in the 90s or missed watching the 1994 WC, because England didn't qualify.

No, I was 10 during the 94 world cup, he never made a lasting impression on me obviously

PL bottled null and voiding last season so I don't have faith in them acting accordingly this time. THOSE CLUBS SHOULD BE OUT
Except, apart from create a furore, they haven't done enough right now to justify expulsion, I don't think. But you can immediately dock them 30-40 points and put them on warning of expulsion next season if their project proceeds. I would also make them complete their league fixture commitments.

If they back down, a couple of them may be relegated anyway. No mercy! And I think they should be kicked out of the Cups. UEFA are looking to expel them, anyway. You can rewind and reinstate their last opponents to compete and conclude the Cups, which is easier than league football to work out.

Carragher currently spinning the narrative that Liverpool fans are going to save football by running their owners out of the club and starting the domino effect that will bring down the empire.
