Champions League revamp

Without any risk???

Through this desperate doomed venture they're probably going to be chucked out of the league to go play in an eternal glorified friendly tournament forevermore.

It's an insane risk.

In terms of no relegation and guaranteed placement in the ESL regardless of where you finish in your domestic league.

This pleases me greatly. I was hoping to see some clarification about this and although Perez is a madman and probably not the best source, it's promising.

The European Super League must be allowed to commence unimpeded. That is when the football world needs to fight back and nuke these 12 clubs off the face of the earth.
I would love that. No idea how that would work though.

I don't think there is a sport on Earth that is quicker than football. They don't even take two hours!

Quarters, its coming. Again with the Americanisation.

Next will be big foam fingers, hotdogs and crowds shouting offense and defence whilst clapping and looking at themselves on a fan cam. Cheerleaders, the works.

Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise for myself, on a personal note. I’ve been tuning myself out of football for a while now. I don’t feel the same connection as I used to and this may be the final nail in the coffin for me.
Really sad mate, but I know exactly where you're coming from.

I'm still digusted and enraged by this whole thing, but overwhelming I just feel sad and depressed about what they have tried to do, and whatever happens I'm not sure I'll ever get my head around it or shake this feeling.

The thing is it isn't sustainable if they get kicked out of the domestic leagues. No chance the Super League is going to replace all the revenue from the domestic and CL.

If they're correct that they can double the size of the CL rights pie, it will replace it and then some - especially if they only end up cutting that pie into a dozen slices.

The real wild card in this is the players. Will they take the dollar signs and the exposure, or will they stay loyal to their national teams?

We know which way the ESL is betting the wind blows.

Quarters would make the game longer though
