Champions League revamp

My preferred option now is the ESL cracks on with the RS and ManU in it.
The return of Chelsea and City to the PL means sanctions on the other four would be more likely

This would be it. Easy to boot them out. They'd go bust. Pretty ambivalent on Spurs/Arsenal, but in honesty happy to see them go and bankrupt themselves too.

Very telling what Perez says tonight. If he mentions contracts have been signed I imagine it will cost ALOT of money to get out of them considering these are 23 yr contracts.

City can afford it and likely Chelsea not sure on the others.

That would be even sweeter if both City and Chelsea paid the fine. The superleague of 10 and everyone else refusing to sign up

I said as much earlier in the day. Especially with Real Madrid threatening legal action. I reckon some clubs have made guarantees to significant poeple, and will have enormous penalties if they resign.

This could start to get really really messy if those clubs have made legal guarentees. I have said, it would be very unlikely a lender is going to extend funds without guarantees and contracts being agreed.

If they don't resign soon, something more is probably going on.

Doubt the penalties would be enforceable - yes, they are contracts but any trial would require the details of everything that went on to set it up come out.

If they are going to keep it going, revealing that would do the remarkable thing of further trashing this already trashed brand. If its just Chelsea and City (or just City) who leave, they'll probably wear it in order to keep it going and hope they want to join later.

JPM raised the cash for this through a SPAC listing it appears - with borrowing added to it also. Let it and them go bang. A fresh clean United and RS, if that’s not an ultimate oxymoron - can emerge.
