Champions League revamp

Unreal 24 hours!!! The biggest attempt at a coup in football over!!

The fans have spoken .. those power hungry club owners being put quickly back in their box..

All those clubs have played their hand and lost!! FIFA will never have to pander to them again and the the fans have shown the game is only what it is because of them...

Now would love to throw the hook at them.. especially the American owned ones as you know they were the ring leaders... but not sure they can punish a few and not all.

Quite right.

I've followed this like everyone else, from the outset. This is how it all appears to me:
1. The Super League was set up in secret.
2. The '12' had agreed to be part of it (whether they have signed legally-binding contracts, I don't know).
3. Massive public and media outcry against it.
4. Rather large demonstration at Chelsea tonight.
5. Man City and Chelsea have APPLIED to leave the Super league (not definitely left it).
6. Woodward has resigned from Man Utd.

Now, if the '12' HAVE signed a legally-binding contract to take part in the Super League, then the Super league may simply say 'No, you are not leaving, we have a contract with you'. If the clubs then unilaterally leave, the Super League may take legal action to keep them to their word and protect their 'product'.

Once the issue in the above paragraph has been clarified, it may be then that the Premier League and UEFA take measures against the '6'. Hence their not coming out with any definitive action so far. And this may be the reason why the other four have remained silent so far, to see how the wind blows on the matter.

I'm not claiming any of the above is 100% correct, just my weighing up of the situation so far as it is known to the general public at this point in time.
it could be a massive legal bunfight with rich people on either side and plenty of lawyers who want to be richer, and probably will be. Leaving a legal agreement to join another, to leave that and try and go back. Difficult to defend that position. KAGS

Whatever may happen on the pitch, these six clubs, hereafter known as 'the selfish six', don't have a shred of credibility off the pitch.
The 14 honourable and decent Premier League clubs should sieze this moment and use it to vote through proposals that benefit the many and not the few.
This ill conceived venture should never be forgotten.
Well done to Villa, Brighton, Burnley, Palace, Everton, Fulham, Leeds, Leicester, Newcastle, Southampton, Sheffield United, WBA, West Ham and Wolves.
The good guys usually win in the end.

lol what kind of statement is that lol

Made to look like proper greedy no marks by the original club in this city this morning the knobheads.
Such sorrow and deepfelt apologies .
Even Arsenal had the dignity to issue a sniveling apology .
Utter ,utter clueless scum . Any sympathy I had for their fans is gone . Vanished .
