Champions League revamp

All the rats leaving a sinking ship
What a load of shitbags and cowards they all are
They make me sick
Deduct them 35 points each
I think we should form our own 14 team league along with six teams from the championship that will make it 20
I want nothing to do with them
I’m working in Northern Ireland this week and have fallen out with 2 Liverpool and an Arsenal fan already
Told them to get back on the hole where they and their club belongs
Be careful
Bullet’s could be on the way and not in the post

This can't be allowed to just go away now. I don't care if the scabs have backed off because all their plans have fallen down around them, they threatened the future of every football club in the pyramid along with the very existence of most of then. There simply has to be serious repercussions for this because otherwise it'll happen again and again and again until the breakaway really does happen. Football is basically now in a loveless marriage between the games authorities and the scab six where every time there's an argument one side threatens to leave the other knowing that it will get them what they want. This cannot, repeat, cannot be allowed to happen. Points deduction is the bare minimum punishment the scabs should receive.

Oh and as for the media in all this, they can try and act like this is some sort of victory but they are as complicit in this as anyone. They created this monster with their ludicrous narrative of the "big six", I've no doubt that they want to return to business as usual now but they shouldn't be allowed to. Every single club in the pyramid needs to band together on this and take the fight to the games authorities, the scab six and the media because they've had had a stranglehold on the game for far to long and it's lead us to where we're now.

I think our only hope of financial penalties on these clubs will be self imposed by their owners as they start to strip assets for cash to increasingly line their pockets on their way out of the door. I'm ok with that!

Thing is who will want to buy these clubs off them now when there are probably better business investments out there unless any revamp of the Campions Leagues by UEFA gives them more cash which would only be rewarding treachery and think (hope) they will long remember this and punish them accordingly?

In a statement, the European Super League said: "Given the current circumstances we shall reconsider the most appropriate steps to reshape the project, always having in mind our goals of offering fans the best experience possible while enhancing solidarity payments for the entire football community."

lol lol lol

Not being funny but the format of the new CL is nearly as bad anyway. This isn't over.

That’s right. Everyone thinking this is a victory for football it really isn’t. The new rules in UEFA are pretty much a Super League in itself. Guaranteed places for those 12 clubs, closed shop and more money.

Steve Parish called out UEFA on that video and fair play to him but let’s see if all the usual suspects who’ve been kicking off on social media the last few days will be doing the same thing for these UEFA reforms....

From Jack Cantwell: “I’m an Arsenal fan, and I’m more than happy to take a points deduction and a ban from European football for say 1-2 years. It’s what it will take to drive an entitled, selfish and vacuous man like Kroenke from the club that I love. He needs to realise that sport is competitive, and cheating is unacceptable - which is what this would have been (giving yourself an unfair and dubious advantage). Yes it’ll hurt, yes it’ll put our progress plan back a few years but for the good of the game that’s a necessary sacrifice - and I’m sure the majority of true Arsenal fans would agree to take the hit to preserve what’s left of the game for everyone who’s a fan.”

Not finished this.

Unless this is addresssed now be prepared for this to happen again.
And it will unless these are sanctioned and cast iron insurances are put in place.

Fail to prepare
Prepare to fail.
