I'll be honest mate, I dont think that would be the best indicator.

What's clear is certain teams who have left feel its 8m.

RM think its 300m. Other suggestions 130m.

None of us have seen the contracts. I'd imagine legal teams will end up deciding, probably behind closed doors.
The word is that City signed a letter of intent and not the actual contract.
If that is the case they may have some wriggle room on the legal front - but
not sure to be honest.

This is why the super slags need punishments, nevermind it's not the fans faults, these clubs will try again in a year or so

Real and Barca are the driving force behind this because they have themselves in a colossal financial black hole. For years they've spent huge money on transfers and player wages and its finally caught up with them. They'll blame it on the covid but they've been racking up huge debt for years. If they were denied champions league football for a couple of seasons it would serve them right.

Not so sure Real and Barca are the driving force. Willing beneficiaries, absolutely, but the whole thing stinks of an American influence, to me, FSG and the Glazers.
For the debt, genuinely don't think it bothers the Spanish pair. No matter how bad it gets, they'll get bailled out. You only have to look at the way Madrid sold their training ground a few years back. Brought in nearly 200 million euros for not prime real estate. They're the kings of creative accountancy.

Barca are supposedly up toward 1 Billion Euro in the red, and the Nou Camp is in need of a serious update. Madrid are supposedly in a similar amount of debt and the way Perez keeps saying that ESL is still alive sounds like desperation. The way the English clubs pulled out so quickly is what makes me think that the Spanish sides were the driving force. The no relegation for the founder 12 does follow the template for the elite level sports competitions in the US.

I think a 10 point deduction for next season for each of the 6 teams could lead to an epic season. It would put these sides under huge pressure immediately.I appreciate any title win would come with an asterisk but meh
A 10 point reduction wouldn’t have made any difference to the outcome over the last 5 seasons. It needs to be 20.
