Champions League revamp

The opportunity was there for UEFA to take back power and not be threatened by these Clubs.

That 'punishment' confirms to those Clubs that they are bigger than the rest of football. They'll soon acquire greater power and preference again.

We'll just have - even more so - a greater divide between those Clubs and others creating less competition. A Super League within the Champions League.

A very depressing end to this. I thought briefly that we were about to get football back.

Said previously the whole thing is a farce from the start. I don’t believe those high up who said they were unaware either like Klopp and Pep.

Personally I’m done, the game was becoming soulless before this anyway. I love Everton , however the game itself is clearly bias towards certain clubs, the media are shameful too and I’ve just had enough. Countless of horrible , disingenuous people making a fortune.

£100m fine if a club leaves is probably unenforceable as how would Uefa have any jurisdiction if a club leaves?..

Moronic but probably decided upon by the clubs themselves. Uefa shooting themselves in the foot again.

Whatever goodwill Uefa had from fans (if any) from how this played out is now totally gone.

R.e. the fine, I imagine it’s a legally binding contractual agreement. So enforceable in court.
