Very good opportunity over the next 5 games to put some distance between us and the RS + Chelsea + Arsenal.

H Leicester
H Newcastle
A Leeds
A United
H Fulham

Then we play the RS
Some pretty tough games there, all those teams will push us hard, no easy games left in this league.

Our recent results have been superb, but we need to avoid the little dips we go on to have any chance.

The problem we have is all of those teams will believe they can get 3 points from us. We are not consistent enough in our performances, at any given time we can look like the worst team in the league (Recently West ham and Utd in the cup springs to mind)

I think maybe next season or the season after, if the great Carlo is still with us might be more realistic.
Strength in depth is non existent
We also need rid of the players in and around the first team who are a complete lottery in what kind of performances they will put in.
Gomes could be 3/10 or 9/10 at any given game
Same with Iwobi, Davies, Coleman, Pickford, Siggurdson.

Jup, but under Don Carlo their performances lately are much more consistent. But two or three top quality players would be necessary if we want to achieve something big.

Anything is possible this weird season, weve just gotta keep grinding out results - no more Leeds or wham performances and results, but given our squad depth that could be our problem (cmon Marcel lad - transfer windows open!)

Utd have got a wobble in em, so have Leicester and shitteh. The [Poor language removed] look a busted flush now (minus PEDs), and spurs are just spurs - we just need to keep consistent (which has always been our problem - world class one week, Sunday league the next!)

Up the low flying toffees!

While it's not beyond the realms of possibility, I sense that Citeh are running into some 'title' form and could run away with it. Finishing above Shipmans troops and a European tour would be a good booby prize.

On one hand, I don't think we have a group of players capable of putting a couple of very good runs together. On the other, clubs around us seem to insist on dropping points unexpectedly. Maybe this will be the year that a team wins the title by default rather than positively?

My gut feeling though is that we'll end up 5th or 6th because of shortfalls in the squad.

Interesting to see if City cope without KDB for the next 4 or 5 weeks
