Vardy injury gives us a boost for next week. If we are serious about title/top 4 challenge we need to bring a couple of players in to add a little strength in depth. I know we have more players than ideal at the moment but some of them are absolute dead wood. Right back and either a right forward and move James to midfield or a midfielder. The way this season is going it may just take a couple of good results and a team could surge clear.

Vardy missing will be massive for us.

But, we struggle when odds are stacked in our favour, and they'll be having someone - probably Iheanacho - desperate to impress. Vardy being out does not make it easier for us.

You were correct - confirmed 4-6 weeks now.

I have said on here in the last few weeks City will kick on now and canter to a league win easily. That is a bit of a leveler
Big loss . Foden gets better n better so will see lot more game time. Rest of there midfield also chipping in

Leicester need a good run with injuries. They have a decent squad but 2 or 3 players are crucial, same as with any team.

Last season they were nailed on champions league prior to shutdown, but had key players injured when we came back and fell away badly. This season the only key injury they've had out is Ndidi who missed 9 games. The Turkish CB was out but Fofana is probably better anyway and the Turk can't get back in the team now. Maddison was restricted to the bench for the first 3 games but they won those anyway.

Elsewhere, City have had issues with a striker but all their other key players have been fit and mostly played every game. Same too with Spurs and Man United, hardly any injuries between them. Chelsea have generally worked with a fully fit squad. Pulisic and Ziyech have had injury problems but they have top drawer cover for both. Arsenal haven't had any severe injuries that I'm aware of and, although Liverpool have had their problems at CB, the rest of the squad has been pretty much free of injury apart from Thiago and Jota. They moan about Jota being out but Salah, Mane and Firmino have been available every game. Southampton have been pretty much injury free bar a handful of games when Ings was missing, whilst Wolves have seemingly fallen apart because their main striker is out.

If we put aside Liverpool's issues at CB, and City's issues with the striker, out of all the teams challenging, only Everton have had a really bad run with injuries. Only Doucoure has been ever present and out of what was arguably our preferred starting XI at the beginning of the season, Holgate has missed 9 matches, Digne and Coleman 8 each, Allan, James and Gomes 5 each, and Richarlison 4. It would have been more had we not had 2 matches cancelled.

I'm not looking for excuses, in fact it's the opposite because I'm amazed that we are where we are given the injuries we've had to our key players. All I'm saying is that we're still in touch despite these injuries. If we can get a decent run and other clubs start picking up injuries, nothing is out of the question. Plus all the teams around us start their European fixtures again in 4 weeks time and that is bound to work against them. We need luck with injuries plus the sort of VAR decisions we were getting up to the derby match. But if we get the Everton back that we saw in those first 7/8 games of the season, I think it would be daft to rule us out completely, and certainly a top 4 place is achievable.
The injuries to KDB and Vardey are exactly what I was referring to in this post earlier this week. The same sort of thing can happen to the likes of Spurs and Man Utd, both of whom have been barely touched by injury this season.

I know it's only 1 player, but I'm sure everybody on here will feel a lot happier about our chances against Leicester during the week. And will be hoping our game with City can be rearranged before KDBs return from injury.

Yeah iheanacho hasn't scored since jesus was a lad, so no doubt we will be as open as the first Friday night out of lockdown... And allow him to score

Everton that

At least City have not put that story y all over the media like when Virgil sprained his knee
Unlike the scum City are well covered in midfield
Bernardo Silva (who scored a magnificent goal in midweek ) along with Fernidihno (best DM in the league ) and Foden ,along with Gundongan and Rodri will all more than compensate
Even a squad like City will miss KDB Bri. From what I've seen this season there hasn't been a better player in world football. He's been outstanding even by his own brilliant standards. City drew 2 and lost 1 of 4 Premier games whilst he was out in the Autumn. Admittedly 2 of the games were against Liverpool and Spurs, but even so he gives the team an extra dimension.

I think it all depends on us. There was a game last season can't remember which one the team had loads missing and we still lost. Think it was Bournemouth or Brighton something like that. We've done it a few times. Need to make this one count against Leicester and no slip up against the bar codes

If we ever win number 10 what a party it'll kin be.

Covid Fines aplenty

Nah mate that's the difference between un and them lot. We'd be able to restrain ourselves until its safe to do so. They felt the need to go and lob fireworks at the Liver building and try to stab each other outside their own ground.

I'd piss myself laughing though if we won the fa Cup and sorted out a parade before they had theirs for last season. Make no mistake, they will still want that parade, even if its 4 years later and they've been relegated to league 1 by some miracle.
