5th + quarter + semi + final

Or United, Fulham, RS, Southampton

Id rather win those 4 league games and be 24 games 48 pts.

All about the top 4.
We could win them 4 league games then fail to beat Chelsea, Burnley, WBA and Palace, in fact we could easily win them and then come 5th and end up with another season of failure.

See I look at each game as an individual test, all that is at stake is the pride of winning the fixture, but when it comes to which is the more important, of course its Spurs, which is also the easier game.

Thought this was interesting. Over the past ten years 61 points has generally been good enough for 6th, 64 points for 5th, and 69 for a Champions League spot. Potentially a record of W9 / D6 / L3 over our remaining games (which is roughly equivalent to our points-per-game record so far this season) then could be good enough for 4th, based off historical averages.

Factoring in that a lot of teams in the league in positions 9th - 17th (excluding Fulham, WBA and Sheffield United, who already look certs for the drop) are taking points off the top six, and you could argue that less than 69 points may well be good enough for 4th this season.

I think a few things need to happen for Champions League.

Obviously need 70 points. We’d be lucky to get in without given we are the ones trying to break the top 4 monopoly.

We’d have to win at least 10 games to do it. Seems tough imo so hopefully we can go on a run of 6 or 7 wins straight to make it easier.

Finally I think it’ll be Man City, Man U top 2. Leicester look like they’re going to get there. So does that mean Liverpool won’t make it? (They’ll have to find another way to get them in) Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal could possibly not make it.

Leicester are in a bad patch of form, not too sure they can get there, may be wrong though.

Think well need 83 points to win the league and 75 to claim top 4. That means 15 wins and 2 draws or 12 wins and 3 draws.
Very difficult we need a good run of quite a few games, we just can't afford to drop points vs the weaker sides, and we need to start winning at Goodison, if we start winning at Goodison, I think it's possible to get top 4.

Absolutely need to start winning home games. Our home points is 1.4 per game and away its 2.2. Man City have stepped on the gas so think its unlikely we win the league but top 4 is definitely in our own hands.

Top 4 may hinge on what Chelsea and Liverpool do. If Chelsea step on the gas under Tuchel then they have the quality to make it no question and aren’t that far away. Liverpool could implode completely but unless they get a big injury to Mane or Salah you’d think they’d have enough to get top 4 as there’ll always be teams like Spurs who just bottle it against them before a ball is kicked. Spurs don’t look like they’ll have enough especially with Kane missing.

I’ve got a feeling City and United are certs and also that Chelsea will make it in. One spot left between Liverpool Leicester and us in that order I reckon.

I dont think it matters how other teams are looking this season, as much as other seasons.

If we can win 9+ of our remaining 18 games, we'll be right up there.

United A
Fulham H
City H
Liverpool A

We need to be taking 6pts from these 4 games...
