Villa Arsenal will be an interesting game today.

A villa win puts us 5pts ahead of arsenal with 3 games in hand. Not so fussed about Villa myself, id like to see Arsenal dead and buried...

100%. Villa have been brilliant but won’t finish above us.

Arsenal have been on mostly great form for a while, and a draw/Villa win keeps them at arm’s length.

The way we setup i think we'll get 3pts from one of them and beat fulham.

Win the FA Cup and its good for the players and fans.

Get in the champions league and its good for the players, fans, clun and attracting players.

The champions league takes us up a level as a club...once we attain that level we can consistently compete for trophies, not only a one off cup.
That’s exactly my point, when qualifying for a cup competition is more beneficial than winning one.

Anyway I’d take winning the league cup over a CL spot. I remember what it’s like to win a trophy and it’s lot more exciting than qualifying for the CL

So basically you would rather win a Mickey Mouse cup throw away a major chance of propelling the club and get us far better players and in turn getting cups.

mice been a blue since 87 and I really don’t get ppl obsession with wanting to win a trophy over CL qualification. It’s utter madness
Winning a trophy now is nothing compared to the 80s unless it the league. To win the league we need CL

because winning a trophy is probably one of the greatest feelings you’ll ever experience. Whereas qualifying for the champions league is “oh we’ve got Barcelona in our group and FC Third Division Romanian Farmers”; how exciting

Eh kids, the best thing I have witnessed was when we qualified for the champions league; don’t know what it’s like to win a trophy but that one away day to Barca was magical

Winning cups might be better for fans

But CL is more important for the growth of the club. It helps you keep your key players plus attract new ones.

Financially, I'd expect it to be better as well but I'm not sure

Just looking at the fixtures. The Don will play his best 11 on Wed. Hopefully including Allan. Then he will want them fresh for the 2 games v City and the RS. It all points to heavy rotation in the Fulham game. Think the likes of Niels,
Coleman, Delph and King will be starting that one. Hopefully the squad proves good enough as it’s a game we have to win

Heres the remaining key games this weekend:

Sheff Utd VS Chelsea
Tottenham VS West Brom
Liverpool VS Man City
Wolves VS Leicester

All tough games...happily take 4 draws :)

I don't think we are good enough for 4th, we are riding our luck a little at the moment, a lot of our performances haven't been up to standard.

Hard to disagree but it’s just so frustrating to think we could have been 4th this morning with 2 games in hand but for Leicester and Newcastle..... With a pretty injury ravaged squad up to now too.

reverse could be said about last night of course, but again the first 7 mins of the second half they executed what was clearly the game plan that they failed to do in the first 45 mins.

All ifs, buts and maybe’s like, but the squad have shown what they can be capable several times only then look barely able to string two passes together

The misplacing of passes so often absolutely infuriates me.

Dream would be sheff Utd win and West Brom win. City win so keeps Liverpool close to us with 2 games in hand. And wolves and Leicester to draw.
City / West Brom / Wolves / Sheff Utd we want to win...

Id take them all as draws...

Ironically although i just stuck the fixtures up in here, we dont really need to worry about other sides at this stage.

We get 20 wins and we'll finish top 5. Anything over that and we should be 4th or better.

Beat Fulham and were in a pretty good position.
