Championship 2024/25

DYCHE OUT. KNUTSEN IN
My yearly attempt of creating a thread about the best league in the world. The fun starts again tomorrow.

Last year i got two of the promoted teams correct(guessed leeds wouldnt come up also) however got my QPR and Plymouth for relegation shouts incorrect.

Winners - Leeds. Think they come up this year. Last years poor start really hindered them.

Promoted - Burnley. Massive squad but Scott Parker has a good record in this league and his crap clobber will get them up.

Playoff winners - Sheff utd. Boring pick but Hamer and ohare will score and assist loads. Plus Tommy D pulling strings.

Relegated - Plymouth, Oxford, Blackburn.

Players to watch - Latte Lath from Boro. Top striker for this level. Wouldnt be surprised if some relegation fodder from the prem bid for him in January.

Ronald from Swansea. Had a decent second half of the season for swansea last year once he settled.

Burrows- Sheff utd just signed him from league one. Real attacking fullback and had good numbers last year. Looks boss.

Honorable mentions - Kolli(QPR) loads of prem clubs sniffing around him, rated really highly. Esse and Emakhu(Millwall). PSV trying to get Emakhu. These three are young kids but like Rowe from Norwich last year they could all be going for decent money next summer.

Leeds and Luton to go up automatically. Stoke via the play offs

Plymouth, Cardiff, Oxford to get relegated

Player(s) to watch: Chris Rigg, Oliver Arblaster

I reckon Leeds, Burnley and Coventry will be the three promoted this year. Sheffield Wednesday will be dark horses, whilst Blackburn will do well if they can keep hold of Szmodics.

As for relegation, I'm not too sure. Personally I have a slight feeling that Plymouth will survive again, despite having Rooney in charge. Oxford are possibly in danger of going straight back down and I'm not sure about QPR's chances of survival.

I'd go for:
1. Leeds (P, C)
2. Burnley (P)
3. Luton
4. Sheffield United
5. Coventry (P)
6. Norwich
7. Sheffield Wednesday
8. West Brom
9. Middlesbrough
10. Hull
11. Sunderland
12. Preston
13. Stoke
14. Blackburn
15. Watford
16. Bristol City
17. Millwall
18. Swansea
19. Portsmouth
20. Derby County
21. Plymouth Argyle
22. QPR (R)
23. Cardiff City (R)
24. Oxford United (R)

Cant argue with most of that to be fair.
Be interesting to see QPR & Sheff Wednesday after there managerial appointments really pushed them into safety last season. But if either start well i can see managers getting poached.

Winners: Burnley
2nd Leeds

Play Offs:
Sheff Utd
Boro
Luton
Coventry

Relegated:
Plymouth
Milwall
Oxford
