2024/25 Charly Alcaraz

This is a really interesting move for me.

I thought two years ago he looked decent in a terrible Southampton team, scored a couple of goals but for some reason could never get a run of starts. Even when they dropped to the championship he wasn't really playing much...then Juventus took him on loan!

Wants another go in Europe and I think him and Ndiaye in the same three behind the forward could be really interesting so as punts go this isn't a bad one as he already has prem experience and only 22.

I'd love to know more of what actually happened at Southampton. They signed him in January 2023 on four and a half year deal. He then signed a five year deal in October 2023. Then went on loan to Juve in Jan 2024 and then they sold him to Flamengo for similar fee to what they paid in August 2024. Flamengo now loaning him back out.

Kid's had an odd career so far so he needs to find a stable home where he can play week in week out. 18 games and 4 goals last time he was in the prem. Pretty good considering Saints finished 20th by a distance.

It’s either some bizarre conspiracy involving Interpol, Flamengo, the PL, Rothschilds and Illuminati. Or, it’s that Everton have an admittedly strange system in place for announcing transfers that we’ve seen a billion times in the past and everything’s fine and people should stop panicking.

Love the left field foreign sinnings.

Hes gotta have a medical, get a visa and also International clearance, is it any wonder Everton are holding fire.

All these things should be easy to complete, but yeah, the last thing the TFG need is their first signing to go tits up very publically.

Probably on the down-low because we can’t sign him until we terminate one of the loans we currently have and we haven’t done that yet..

Not true we are ok up to 4 from foreign clubs apparently.
So Flamengo are plastering it everywhere to get everton in trouble and collapse the deal.

Making sense now.

We have to have the obligatory photoshoot of Gueye pretending it's him yet..

How can he play for us this season???... he played the last 9 minutes as a sub of Southampton's opening game of the season at Newcastle and has played for Flamengo, so he can't play for another team this season under FIFA rules can he? Or is a short-term loan an exception?

Perhaps this is why we haven't confirmed it yet.
