The midfield struggle to score because whenever the ball goes forwards it comes right back at them. If they had any trust in a player to hold the ball up and give time & space to the runners, then we'd be much more effective.

However, currently the only time we can get the ball forwards, its down the wings. Moving the ball down either side limits options, cause it can only go in one direction to be a threat. Its why the 'false 9' role has been so effective for some teams.

I get what you are saying, unfortunately looking over the course of their careers, hitting double figures is beyond them. Oh for a Tim Cahill now

I'd love to know how this solves our goalscoring problems. He might be the best hold up back to goal striker that ever existed but the midfield can't score double figures to save their lives, and double figures is what we need desperately from a forward.

Only 5 players in the bottom 10 club's scored double figures last season. 2 of them played for Leicester.

Puts into perspective there's 7 more club's around us looking for the same thing and how hard it's going to be.

Lasted 50 mins longer than I did.

And I don’t think Che Adams would have made any difference to the outcome or the performance on Sun as we still would have started with DCL and been 2 down.

He may be better than maupay but him scoring 5 goals all season won’t save us unless there are changes elsewhere (which there are no real links that we are even trying for)

We are a joke, been talk if fee agreement from late Sunday, as off Tuesday pm apparently no further forward. In comparison Man City first talk of Doku yesterday .Today agreement and into Manchester today for medical . That’s how to operated a proper club.
