I have a theory.

We dont care, we probably all stopped caring a few years ago now.

But we dont want to admit we stopped caring, so we go the games, we watch the games, we consume the news, but really, we died and this is purgatory.

Like some jarg version of Lost, but without the good Season 1.

i'm not sure if its Everton being crap or the stat people that stopped me caring about signings

Agree with this

Definitely not an electrifying signing by any means but he's not horrendous . He kind of reminds me of Steven Naismith, not prolific in his scoring but an industrious nuisance of an attacker which could be beneficial for our team. Is he going to completely rectify our issues? Doubtful but he helps our attacking overall
The issue for me is, this is exactly what I thought we were getting with Maupay.

Now I’m not saying this lad can be any worse, but I’ve been wrong before.

I know he's only 5'9 ( 2 inches taller than maupay) but I believe hes better suited to play dyche ball as he does have more of a physical presence then maupay. I didn't know what to expect with maupay but ar the same time I didn't think he would be as abysmal as he has been. I still think the system played doesn't suit him along with the types of player who held the line with him were far superior to what we've had at everton but he's also just hasn't delivered but who knows with che , I think it will less disastrous though lol

Very very true. Maupay was labelled as the proverbial nightmare to play against, really winds defenders up etc etc to justify his poor scoring stats. He tried to kick off a few times against Sporting I think, but other than that he’s been a mouse, which would have been fine if had done literally anything else. Even if he scuffs one in at the weekend, can’t see it being the start of a run.
