Transfer Rumour Che Adams

I don't care how desperate we are, I don't want us to sign this lad, he is gash. Just adding more gash to the gash we have. Ché Adams isn't helping anyone. He's rubbish, sick of signing crap and being stuck with them.

A whole world of football and we go for this striker, who got relegated last season, because he didn't score enough goals to help Southampton avoid the drop, why would he help us, makes no sense.
On the one hand I agree. And Che Adams wouldn't be my choice in any world where we had unlimited finance and were attractive also would take Daka, Ineahacho and Beto above him on the other there's realism here we just survived two relegation battles and don't have a big budget, not many players who aren't big punts(who could take time like Chermiti or never work) or players who have been relegated, are coming here. Sad but true. We should have been scouring foreign markets and securing players with more upside that way to develop but they aren't because the recruitment lacks imagination and has to be signed off by a loony owner who doesn't know football and a 77 year old chairman, and we are looking for an experienced option alongside Chermiti so it's big Che or nobody it seems.

Well he played him last season, so unless his leg has fallen off he’s only frozen out because he’s leaving.

He didn't really have a choice. And when he did play him, much of it was as a lone striker.

I'm not making an argument that he should or shouldn't play, more that it's already cast in stone that Dyche would rather put players in unfamiliar positions or play younger talent with mediocre pedigree than play Gray.

To me, with Gray's talent, technical ability and ambivalence about defending, the guy should have at least 20 goal involvements a season. He'll never be that player, however.

If we sign Adams, in my opinion, we will be sending him out on loan this time next year, if we stay up. We will also be adding him the the Everton club of players we have signed, who we have to send on loan and pay a large portion of their wages, because we paid them too much, in order to persuade them to sign. He really is not worth15 mill. I might take a chance for him at 7 mill on low wages as a utility back up forward. Anything more is madness and just so Everton.

He didn’t fancy him on the wing at all because he doesn’t defend enough and he’s awful as a lone striker, I’d rather have Cannon, Danjuma or even Maupay

Gray is good enough to be in the current squad given the injuries, can’t be much question about that, and I’m not even a fan of him.

Well you were moaning that West Ham were signing Kudus, they just sold Rice for £105m.

Stones left us 7 years ago, Lukaku 6. We spunked all that money away too.
I know mate.

The general point I was making was that we are badly run and being left behind clubs like Villa and West Ham. Not just the size of the fees received for players.

I feel we both have the same outlook towards it, so no point in going around in circles.
